The altered version of Jeanne d'Arc. Although designated as Alter, it does not mean that she is a different aspect of Jeanne d'Arc. A Jeanne of Vengeance that Gilles de Rais, the Marshal of the French Army who mourned Jeanne d'Arc's death, crafted for herself by means of the Holy Grail shortly after Jeanne's execution in 1431. As a Heroic Spirit, she is the exact opposite of what is proper. Jeanne, manifesting in the Avenger class. Since the proper Jeanne isn't a heroine, but a saint, the possibility of "summoning a different aspect of her" is zero. Because this dark Jeanne has Gilles de Rais's anger... the prejudices and desires for her to be like this... mixed in with her core parts, a "side" that should never happen ended up being brought to the surface. As such, one can think that this Jeanne d'Arc is composed primarily of Gilles de Rais's prejudices; an existence that encapsulates much of those prejudices and feelings.

A dark Jeanne d'Arc tinged with a desire for revenge. Her personality is extremely cruel and harsh, and some people will likely notice vestiges of her saintliness there. She shows no kindness toward others and will become an object of vengeance for all of humanity. She always harbors distrust, even toward her peers. She believes in God. And yet, there is no faith in that belief. She likes to deny God in front of a believer. Jeanne Alter resembles the original version, except for her pale complexion, yellow eyes, short white hair, and darker colors for her armor, flag, and cape. From Stage 3 onward, Jeanne Alter's armor becomes more revealing, and her shoes now become high heels. Notably, she now has long, flowing hair that reaches her ankles. As a clone of Jeanne, she retained for the most part all the fighting style of the original, only Jeanne Alter is more aggressive and is willing to use her flames to enhance attacks and use melee combat, as well as using her own version of La Pucelle to attack her enemies, something that the original Jeanne would never do, in addition to being able to manipulate flames and summon dragons, both being very powerful.
