Lord Gremory

Appearance.

He is a middle-aged man with long crimson hair. He has bright blue eyes, like his two children, Sirzechs and Rias Gremory. He has a crimson beard that grows from his chin in the shape of horns, pointing towards the bottom of his mouth. He wears a white jacket with a black interior trimmed in gold, white dress pants, and black shoes. He is portrayed wearing a peculiar attire, typical of royalty. A white nightgown fastened in the center with gold laces, a red sash with black edges, and a completely black one that crosses it at the waist in the shape of a cross. A medieval cloak that runs from his neck to his arm, with lines, two buttons, and gold drawings adorning it. He wears black pants and a long skirt, open in the front. And finally, long gray boots as footwear. During his visit to school, he is depicted wearing his usual attire but with a closed white collared shirt, a dark sweatshirt over it, an open white jacket, and pants of the same color.

Personality.

Lord Gremory has been shown to be very kind, funny and outgoing, he is very polite according to his status and like his son Sirzechs, he loves his daughter Rias and likes to embarrass her a little.

History.

Little is known of Lord Gremory's past except that he married Venelana Bael and eventually had two children: Sirzechs and Rias. When Sirzechs became the Satan "Lucifer" and lost his right to become the Gremory Clan Head, Lord Gremory made an arrangement with the Phoenix Clan for his daughter to marry Raiser Phoenix at some point. He has a harem that is managed by his wife, Venelana. He first appears at Rias's engagement and is caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Issei Hyoudou who came to take Rias away, in the fight between Issei and Raiser which ends with Issei winning and the engagement being called off. Lord Gremory had to apologize to the Phenex Clan Head for the cancellation of the engagement. Lord Gremory reappears in Volume 4 where he and Sirzechs went to Kuoh Academy for Rias's class shadowing day. He appears again when Rias goes to the Underworld. Azazel recalled a conversation he had with Lord Gremory, in which he told Azazel that he sometimes questions himself as to whether Sirzechs could actually be called a Demon.

History.

When Azazel is asked what he means, Lord Gremory states that Sirzechs is a mutation of Devils like Ajuka Beelzebub, and Rizevim Livan Lucifer (Vali's grandfather, son of the original Lucifer) are the only Super Devils of the Underworld. He also adds that perhaps Sirzechs and Ajuka were destined to become Demon Kings. He appears on a visit to the hospital where Issei was staying during his recovery, to talk to his parents and reassure them of what their children and the world are facing.
