Appearance

Soshiro is an athletic young man of average height, with a small but muscular build, with short dark violet hair cut in a bob. His red eyes (purple in the anime) are closed most of the time and he always has a jovial expression, [ 6 ] except when in serious situations he shows an imposing expression with his eyes open. [ 12 ] He also has jagged fangs that appear when talking or laughing.

personality

Soshiro is quite easy-going, always wearing a smile; it is very rare to see him feeling downcast. He seems to enjoy making fun of others, especially Kafka Hibino, who considers him comic relief. [6] However, he does have serious moments when he speaks firmly and widens his eyes to emphasize the seriousness of his words. [14] Soshiro also enjoys joking around with Captain Gen Narumi of the First Division. Despite his laid-back and friendly appearance, Soshiro is very intelligent and intuitive. He was the only one who correctly suspected Kafka's identity as Kaiju No. 8, making one of the main reasons why he was accepted into the Third Division despite failing the exam to keep an eye on him. General Abilities: Soshiro is the Vice-Captain of the Defense Force's Third Division and a powerful combatant, capable of fighting on par with Kaiju No. 10. [17][18][19] While his skillset puts him at a disadvantage against large-sized Kaiju, Soshiro's proficiency in defeating small to medium-sized Kaiju in battle surpasses that of the First Division's captain, "Japan's strongest anti-Kaiju combatant", Gen Narumi. [20] As the Vice-Captain of the Defense Force, Soshiro is able to use a great amount of his combat suit's power. His maximum combat power unleashed in a normal combat suit

Combat Suit (formerly): On the battlefield, Soshiro wears a standard Defense Force combat suit. [ 12 ] Rifle: Despite having little release force when firing, Soshiro is shown wielding a rifle on the battlefield. [ 12 ] Breathing Mask: Soshiro uses a breathing mask in battle. [ 12 ] Numbers 10 Weapon ( 10 , Nanbāzu Jū-gō ): The Numbers' personal weapon, provided by Izumo Tech , is a special combat suit crafted from the body of Kaiju No. 10. This suit features light purple scale armor with green outlines, a long mechanical tail, and No. 10's signature eye in the center of the chest. It is the first Numbers weapon in the history of the Defense Force with a will of its own. Twin Swords: Marked SW-2033 and provided by Izumo Tech, Soshiro's personal weapons are a pair of twin swords. [7] The blades are sharp and durable enough to cut through incredibly tough Kaiju such as Kaiju No. 8[28] and Kaiju No. 10. [19] He is shown to have multiple swords as backup. [3] Katana: Marked SW-1023, Soshiro uses a single katana as his secret weapon, despite it being a weapon usually wielded by his older brother. The blade is sharp enough to easily cut through Kaiju No. 12. [3] He is shown to have multiple katanas as backup. [3][5] Enhanced Strength: Soshiro has incredible physical strength, able to cut through the incredibly tough hide of Kaiju No. 8 with ease. [28] He is also able to cut through the tough hide of Kaiju No. 10 despite being heavily damaged, something that not even Kikoru Shinomiya could do with his own personal weapon.
