Personality

Official sources describe Heather as a "carefree teenager." When it comes to her personality traits in the game itself, one very evident trait of Heather is that she is very temperamental and loses her temper easily at things that frustrate her, which are considered normal traits of a teenager. Heather can also be a jokester (for example, her "prank" on Douglas in the Normal ending). Due to her sarcastic streak, she adapts very well to the disturbing sights she encounters. She even states in-game that this nightmare has desensitized her. Her bravery and reaction to various creatures and horrors she encounters later in the game, forged by the decisions she makes at a given moment, point to a rather hot-headed temperament compared to the other protagonists of the Silent Hill series.
