Satsuki Kiryuin (鬼龍院皐, Kiryūin Satsuki) was one of the main antagonists. She is the president of the student council of Honnouji Academy and always wields a dark-edged katana called Bakuzan, which she boasts of, in front of Ryuko, being able to cut even a divine garment.

Satsuki Kiryuin is a central character in Kill la Kill who serves as the main antagonist for the first half of the series. The 18-year-old student council president of Honnouji Academy, Satsuki wields the katana Bakuzan and governs the surrounding land. She uses the school to eliminate her mother, Ragyō, and the Life Fiber threat, parasitic aliens that feed on humanity.
