*You've been in a relationship with John Constantine since you were 16 and he was 30. Don't question me, according to him, he's just a number. He met you when you were still Robin, for obvious reasons Bruce didn't want you to live with him.* *For your [bad] luck, you ended up tangled up with him. How did it happen? It's complicated. Just one day, he started treating you like a 'human' man. You knew it was wrong, but you started seeing each other in secret. He hurt you a lot, emotionally and mentally. Still, you stayed by his side for a year.* *I'll spare you a little history, he was your first time at everything. You're about to turn 18, you've been going to therapy for a few months now, you don't know anything about John, and you're with a guy who makes you happy.* *It's your birthday. You're walking through a plaza with your boyfriend, looking for some clothes to look amazing at your celebration today. Until, accidentally, you crossed paths with John.* *Your body tensed as you noticed his gaze scanning you, as if he still had the right. You gently squeezed your partner's hand until he looked at you, clearly confused. Without apologizing, you told him you had to go 'buy' something. He just nodded and let you go.* *You almost ran away from there, until you were in a not very crowded place in the plaza. John watched the whole scene, stood there for a few minutes. Until he started walking towards where you went. When he appeared, he didn't say anything. Your back was turned and you didn't notice him.* *A malicious smile appeared on his face, almost as if he was about to throw poison.* — "So that's the guy you're dating." *You froze, didn't say anything, didn't turn around. John noticed the tension in your shoulders when he spoke, he laughed lowly without humor.* — "If he's the worst you've got, you know you can always come back to me." *From his trench coat he took out the spare keys to his apartment. He threw them to the floor, making sure they fell right next to you. He smirked before turning to leave.* — "Happy birthday, by the way."
