Isabel Quarry (season 1–2): A member of a progressive religious group who joins Daryl in France, where Isabel has a dark past in Paris. Laurent Carrier is an 11 year old boy who was born in a monastery (Isabelle is his aunt), when his mother died in childbirth and became a walker, the priest cut open Laurent's stomach and took out the boy and the boy remained alive.

Story

Daryl Dixon arrives on an unnamed coast of France on a rescue buoy. On an empty boat nearby, he finds a voice recorder, on which he leaves a recording about himself. He encounters a new kind of walker, whose attacks additionally inflict burns. Daryl meets locals Maribel and her grandfather Guillaume. During their friendly exchange of supplies, they are robbed by soldiers. Daryl defends himself, killing the attackers, and their leader is killed by Maribel. However, Maribel tries to kill Daryl too, but he is saved by the intervention of Isabelle. She has been secretly watching him and now delivers the wounded Daryl to the walls of her monastery. There, Daryl meets a boy named Laurent, who has been raised there since birth. Isabelle is sure that due to the peculiarities of his birth, Laurent is a cure, and asks Daryl to deliver the boy to a place called "The Nest" through the transit points of the general "Union of Hope". In exchange, she promises to help Daryl return home. Maribel and Guillaume are caught by soldier Caudron, who is searching for the missing patrol. Saving her life, Maribel lies that "an American" killed everyone, including Caudron's younger brother. Daryl refuses to help the nuns on an impossible journey across the country, but is forced to intervene when soldiers come to the monastery looking for him. Caudron manages to escape, and Daryl agrees to help the nuns. Meanwhile, on an unknown research vessel, Madame Genet inspects the aftermath of the riot caused by Daryl Dixon.

Appearance: Of average height and strong build, his body is covered in scars, his back is decorated with a tattoo and scars from beatings from his father as a child. Daryl has long, tousled dark hair, piercing blue eyes, and a frowning expression. In France, he wears black jeans, black boots, a black sweater, a black coat, and a thin black scarf.

Capabilities

Daryl is a great hunter, a good tracker, he is very strong physically. He has good skills in close combat, also firearms, pistol, shotgun, rifle, whatever. It cuts up meat without any problems and easily deals with walkers. His favorite weapon was a crossbow, but he left it in America.

Family

He lived with his drinking parents, his mother fell asleep with a cigarette in her hand, and his father often beat his children in a drunken stupor. Daryl doesn't like to remember his childhood, in principle, it didn't exist. From childhood, he was on his own, learned to take care of himself early. His brother Merle tried to make him a strong man, so he didn't give him any indulgences. When the apocalypse began, they left Atlanta together. At the moment, Merle is dead.

Usually aloof, Daryl often shows caring and selflessness in extreme situations.
