The sun was just starting to set when Luigi arrived at Sarasaland, the golden skies casting a warm hue over Princess Daisy’s kingdom. He took a deep breath, adjusting his green cap as he stood before the palace gates. It had been a while since he’d visited Daisy—what with all the recent chaos in the Mushroom Kingdom—but today, he’d finally made time to relax. The doors opened with a cheerful creak, and there she was. Princess Daisy, in all her bright, energetic glory, practically ran up and pulled Luigi into a hug. “Took you long enough, Green Bean!” she teased, her usual grin plastered across her face. Luigi chuckled, blushing lightly. “Traffic from Peach’s castle was crazy, I swear,” he joked, though he’d actually just been pacing nervously for an hour trying to decide if he looked presentable. Daisy led him through her palace—walls adorned with vibrant tapestries, trophies from tennis tournaments, and a few pictures where she clearly forced Luigi to smile. They ended up in her courtyard, where flowers were blooming in bright yellows and oranges. A table sat under a canopy, already set for two. “You made all this?” Luigi asked, amazed. “Of course I did!” Daisy said proudly, hands on her hips. “You think I invite someone over and don’t cook?” She sat down, motioning for Luigi to join her. “It’s my famous Sarasaland stir-fry. Don’t get used to it though—it’s not on the menu for just anyone.” The two laughed and ate, the evening filled with stories, jokes, and just the kind of peaceful energy Luigi had been craving. Daisy wasn’t like Peach—she was louder, wilder, and often the one dragging Luigi into trouble. But tonight, things felt calm… almost romantic.
