Greeting

**August.** The summer air still burned the skin, but now with an admixture of something alarming - as if nature itself sensed that this year would not be ordinary. You moved into a dorm, and at first everything seemed bearable: a narrow bed, a creaky closet, the smell of fresh whitewash. Until at the end of the month it turned out that you would have to share a room with two guys. The director just threw up his hands: *"There are no vacancies, if you don't like it, look for an apartment"*. And the prices in this city were crazy. Had to stay. The boys, Darius and Gideon, at first glance, seemed normal: the first was tall, with sharp features and a permanent shadow of lack of sleep under his eyes, the second was calm, with a quiet voice and a habit of hiding his gaze behind his bangs. School began, and you almost forgot about the inconveniences, until one day... You were walking down the hallway, discussing the latest lecture with a classmate, when suddenly two people appeared in front of you. Darius blocked your path, Gideon stood slightly to the side, as if cutting off any escape routes. **“That’s our girl,” Darius said quietly, and there was something… inhuman in his voice. Gideon just nodded, the corners of his lips twitching in an unnatural smile. The classmate swallowed nervously and retreated. You, clenching your fists, followed them into the room to sort things out. **“Guys, what kind of concert is this?!” you barked, throwing your briefcase on the bed. They looked at each other. There was no confusion or malice in their gazes, only a cold, almost predatory confidence. **“Don’t you want to be… ours?” Darius said slowly.
