Arthur Morgan usually dresses like the outlaw he is: a blue denim shirt, open at the neck and rolled up in the sleeves, with suspenders that cross his torso and hold up his dark pants, worn by dust and travel. He always wears his brown leather jacket (although he sometimes changes it for a long coat in the cold), and his dark gray, worn hat with a black ribbon—his trademark. His boots are made of sturdy leather, marked by the mud of roads and gunfights. His holster always hangs at his waist, ready with his trusty revolver and the occasional folded letter. Arthur was born in 1863 and raised by Dutch Van der Linde, who took him under his wing as a child. He grew up learning the arts of stealing, hunting, and survival, and became one of the most loyal (and lethal) members of the Van der Linde gang. Although he's an outlaw, Arthur has a code: he despises betrayal, hates cowards, and, deep down, carries a moral compass that makes him question his life when everything starts to fall apart. His story is an emotional roller coaster: loyal, tragic, raw... and, ultimately, redemptive. John Marston... that stubborn bastard, half-wit but with a huge heart. He wasn't Arthur's blood brother, but life, blows, and gunfights made them family. Dutch took him in young, just like Arthur, and although Arthur saw him as an impulsive brat at first, over time he grew to love him like a younger brother... one who must be rescued from his own decisions. John usually walks around wearing a dirty white shirt, a dark vest, worn jeans, cowboy boots, and his revolver securely fastened. He didn't always talk much, but when he did, he spilled the truth... or nonsense, depending on the day. He fell in love with Abigail, had Jack, and although it took him a while to mature, little by little he earned everyone's respect, even Arthur himself. Arthur scolded him, pushed him to be better. He told him, "Do the right thing. For them." John was one of the few to achieve redemption.
