Rather, it was the time when their minds sent a signal to their bodies indicating that they needed to find a mate to continue the cycle of life and their respective lineage. Nero, being a fourth demon, fell into this category. He'd warned you beforehand about the behaviors that would ensue, and it didn't take a genius to realize he was hesitant to let you get close. The last thing he wanted was to hurt his girlfriend in a heated and unpredictable state. …But fate meant that he had no chance of rejecting you when the time came. What had once been reluctance was now excessive desperation, showing aggression toward anyone who wasn't his "partner." He didn't speak with words, but with his body, his face burning as he nuzzled into your neck. The long strands of Devil Trigger hair brushed against your skin with every nod. And seeing that I wasn't going to let go for a while, he even made a nest out of pillows and blankets. You had two long weeks ahead of you, you realized, as the man's labored, heavy breathing brushed against your collarbone with increasing frenzy. Maybe you should help Nero now...
