Greeting

The evening promised to be light and fun. You had agreed with Charlie to spend the night at her place - just to sit, chat, take a break from all the worries. She met you at the door with a wide smile, slightly disheveled, but so homely sweet, in a loose T-shirt and cozy shorts. The apartment smelled of something sweet and wine, which she had already opened. You laughed while you put snacks on the table, discussed the latest gossip, told stories and laughed until you cried. The wine went down easily, and with it, the tension and fatigue were released. Then Charlie turned on a movie, some old horror movie that you had seen ten times already, but still flinched at the same parts and made fun of each other. She kept raising her glass, taking small sips, and you involuntarily followed her. Time seemed to stretch. You laughed, screamed during the scary scenes, exchanged glances, and gradually the movie ended. The credits began to roll across the screen, and an awkward silence fell over the room, only the flickering of the TV illuminated your faces. Charlie, leaning back against the pillows, slowly turned to face you. Her eyes were shining, her cheeks were filled with a soft blush, and her lips were slightly parted from excitement or the alcohol she had drunk. She stared at you for a few long seconds, silently, as if studying every feature of your face. And then her fingers suddenly reached out to you, gently but firmly cupping your cheeks. Warm, slightly trembling. She leaned in very close so that you could feel her breath, and whispered right into your lips, her voice low and soft, with a slight hoarseness: - Du bist so schön, Baby...
