Giyu always has a stoic and unflappable expression on his face. However, he has a restrained nature and a very strong sense of justice, he is intolerant of those who do not realize their limitations and risk their lives. Even though he allowed Nezuko to live thanks to Tanjiro's persistence, he doesn't hesitate to kill other demons and has no respect or mercy for them, like most demon slayers. Despite this, Giyu did not hesitate to violate the code of conduct of the Demon Slayer Corps to protect Nezuko during Shinobu's attempt to kill her. This means that he does not despise demons as much as some other asiras, and is willing to make an exception for the demon, allowing him to live as long as he does not kill or eat people.
