Dazai is a young man with wavy, short, dark brown hair and slightly narrow dark brown eyes. His bangs frame his face, with some strands gathered in the center of his forehead. For clothing, Dazai wears a long, sand-colored coat, the belt of which he leaves untied. Underneath it, he wears a black vest over a striped light blue shirt. He has a very cocky and cheerful character, but is self-sufficient, and periodically attempts suicide. Dazai is a very mysterious person, his true motives will never be revealed unless he reveals them himself. He constantly tries to commit suicide, which causes inconvenience to his colleagues. Despite this, Dazai has shown an incredibly sharp mind, thanks to which he was able to quickly guess who Atsushi is, which immediately makes it clear that he is a real detective who does not miss a single clue. Fukuzawa Yukichi

Fukuzawa was a tall man with a stern expression on his face most of the time. He had long silver hair that reached his shoulders and blue eyes with wrinkles under them. Fukuzawa, as expected of the Agency's president, was a serious man, capable of maintaining a calm expression in any situation, even in front of an enemy.[10] As a leader, he prioritized the well-being of his subordinates, which was especially evident when he once ordered all Agency personnel to focus on finding and rescuing Atsushi Nakajima and suspended their further work. He was always seen wearing a green yukata under a black haori (a traditional Japanese hip-length kimono-style jacket usually worn by men) with gold trim and a zigzag pattern, as well as zori (flat sandals) with white tabi (socks with slits at the toes). Main article: "All men are equal" His ability, "All People Are Equal" (人上人不造ヒトノウエ二ヒトヲツクラズ, Hito no Ue ni Hito o Tsukurazu?) allowed him to suppress the abilities of the Armed Detective Agency members. According to Dazai, he can "regulate the strength of their abilities so that they can be controlled." However, candidates had to pass an "entrance exam" (i.e. demonstrate qualities compatible with the agency's members in dangerous situations) to be able to enter the ability's range.

Ranpo Edogawa

Ranpo is a young man with fair skin and short, messy black hair. His eyes, which are closed most of the time, are brown. His attire consists of a brown cape-like cloak that he drapes over his shoulders, the color of which matches the color of his hat and pants. Underneath, he wears a dark gray blazer and a white button-down shirt with a light and dark blue striped tie. Underneath his three-quarter-length pants, he wears long white socks that cover the visible portion of his legs, and plain black shoes. Ranpo is extremely proud of his "ability" to solve any mystery in a matter of seconds, which has helped him solve countless cases. Due to his incredible intellect, he is well-respected by the rest of the Armed Forces Detective Agency, especially since he has no powers. He often brags about his status as the world's greatest detective.[11] Ranpo is also shown to be quite childish, often teasing the other detectives in the agency and sometimes refusing to work or investigate cases for trivial reasons such as laziness or being mean.

Akiko Yosano

Yosano is a young woman who takes care of her appearance. She has straight, dark hair cut into a bob that reaches her chin, with bangs. She has purple eyes. She wears a white button-up blouse with puffy sleeves that reach halfway up her forearm. The blouse is tucked into a simple black skirt that flares out above the knee. She wears wrist-length gloves, a black tie, and black tights. Yosano wears red high-heeled shoes and a gold butterfly clip on the left side of her head. Yosano carries herself with grace and dignity. She prides herself on being both a strong woman and a capable doctor, so she doesn't take kindly to those who belittle her in either regard. She is a feminist who believes that this is an era of equal rights for men and women. She is almost always portrayed as calm and level-headed, but when angry, she is a force to be reckoned with, often displaying sadistic tendencies in retaliation.

Atsushi Nakajima

Atsushi has light gray hair, pale skin, and is of average height and thin build. He has segmental heterochromia, where the upper half of his iris is purple and the lower half is yellow. His hair is short and combed forward, with a long lock of hair on the right side of his face. This uneven hairstyle is a result of the bullying he suffered from the other orphans at the orphanage, and he never got it fixed.[4] He also has a noticeable black streak in his hair. a white button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, a loose black tie, black pants, black fingerless gloves, suspenders and a long black belt. Atsushi's traumatic past affects much of his daily life, and he is plagued by nightmares, flashbacks, and internal monologues of the orphanage director who abused him. He has an extremely low sense of self-worth and is somewhat naive, causing him to initially feel helpless when faced with dangerous situations. When paralyzed by guilt and/or fear, he has difficulty reacting or knowing what to do. He also tends to overreact and take things at face value, trusting others' opinions more than his own and even going so far as to ignore his own instincts. For example, after learning of a 7 billion yen bounty on his head, he convinced himself that he was putting the Agency at risk. He felt a strong sense of guilt and decided to leave, believing that doing so would protect the Agency from prosecution.

Kyoka Izumi

Kyouka is a short girl with black hair tied into two low pigtails with flower-shaped hairpins and blue eyes. A notable feature of her appearance, like almost all members of the Port Mafia, is that her eyes used to be very dull. However, after meeting Atsushi Nakajima and staying in the Agency, her eyes became clearer. She always wears a red kimono with a pattern that looks like sprouts, and ties it neatly with a yellow sash. She wears long white socks and sandals, and has yellow and red bracelets on her arms. Kyouka also carries a tiny rabbit doll and a cell phone attached to a necklace. In the Port Mafia, Kyouka's personality is similar to that of a doll. She is devoid of any emotion and is ruthless when ordered to do her duty. However, after she joins the Agency, she tries her best to minimize casualties in their work. For example, she trains herself to simply knock out targets rather than kill them like she did in Mafia, which she admits was quite difficult. However, Kyouka has a questionable sense of morality, admitting that she is willing to become a criminal or get rid of her opponents in order to preserve herself and the Agency, which is similar to the moral principles of many of her colleagues. She can also be quite vengeful, as she did not hesitate to kill Ryunosuke Akutagawa in order to prove to herself that he was wrong about her. This indicates that her dark side can easily take over if the situation calls for it.

Doppo Kunikida

Kunikida was a tall, slender young man with deep gray-green eyes. His bangs were parted to the right side, and his rather neat but spiky golden-blond hair was pulled back into a long ponytail. He always wore glasses. His outfit consisted of a beige vest over a black long-sleeved shirt, a red ribbon tied in a bow around the collar, beige pants, and simple brown shoes. As an employee of the Armed Detective Agency, Kunikida was very professional and diligent in his work, because to him the reputation of the agency was more important than anything else. He constantly felt the need to organize, collect and plan everything, so during investigations he seemed somewhat strict and stern.

Kenji Miyazawa

Kenji is a 14-year-old boy with golden eyes, freckles on his cheeks, short light hair that reaches the back of his head and bangs on his forehead. He wears light blue overalls, underneath which he wears a beige shirt with torn sleeves that reach to the elbows and a black tank top with sleeves that end just below the elbows. Kenji also wears a straw hat around his neck. He usually goes barefoot, but sometimes wears sandal-colored sandals. Kenji hails from the small village of Ikhatovo. He is simple, carefree, and hospitable, always greeting people with a smile on his face, making him quite popular in the city. He has an optimistic outlook on life. Kenji believes in the innate sincerity of others, no matter what they say or do. His lack of regard for danger may be due to his village upbringing. However, this mentality has helped him in solving some difficult cases. Since Kenji was born and lived in the village, he does not understand some city things, such as money, and often has to rely on his village instincts. This leads to his peculiar "handling methods", such as using his ability on his opponents to subdue them. This also gives him a fearsome reputation among the more suspicious groups in the city. Kenji's ability, Not Yielding to Rain (雨ニモマケズ, Ame ni mo Makezu?), grants him superhuman strength. It allows him to do things that no normal person could ever do, such as lifting a car with ease or pulling a road sign out of cement. The condition for using this ability is that he can only use his ability when he is hungry. After satisfying his hunger, he falls asleep.
