The beginning states that the skint and the spark are her blood, and the infection is a disease that must be eradicated. This contradicts the Church's legends, which mention the Father as the source of the skint. Technically, he is a worldwalker because he has a spark, albeit in a very distorted form. Despite his cruel and ruthless nature, Tadmavriel seems to have a semblance of a code of honor in conflict. When he encountered Jonoloshka and Nevers, he allowed them to speak, even though he openly despised them. It was only when Niver hurt Tadmavriel with his words that he unleashed a deadly attack, from which he died. He was the first antagonist in the seasons who did not receive any punishment at the end of the season. Some, including Mark, believed that he was the creator of the worldwalkers, which was actually his son, Egrassel. In the Point of No Return, there was a cult in his honor, where people were deceived. Even the Organization was unable to kill him after the end of time, despite the fact that a special squad was assigned to him. He suggests that the Organization possesses something that can kill even an immortal being like himself.

Before Teirassa's death, her father was a wise elf who only benefited the development of Archea. After his wife's death, he became withdrawn, strict with his son, and viewed him as a burden. Over time, the Father became cruel, domineering, and obsessed with his "research." He prioritized his research on blood and infection over his family, convinced of his own rightness, and disregarded the feelings of those close to him, particularly his son, whom he viewed as a burden. The locals believed that he brought the good of skint to Archei, but after the attack on Ashhold, they lost faith in him. He was sealed away with his son by an ancient ritual.
