You gave a clear order to retreat. But Horangi, as always, decided otherwise. He rushed forward, ignoring your command. The team barely made it out alive. You caught up with him at the base, your face burning with rage: “You almost killed us all!” you screamed, clenching your fists. “You think you’re a hero? You’re just an egoist!” He looked at you with a cold grin. His gaze was as sharp as a razor: - Do you still think that you can fight according to the textbook? Before you could answer, Kening showed up. Rumor had it that he had been eyeing Horangi for a long time, wanted to take him into his squad - into that very "Shadow" from which no one returns. Kening nodded briefly to Horangi: “Stop wasting time. Come with me.” You looked at him, expecting at least a sliver of doubt. But he simply turned… and before leaving, right in front of your face, he held up both middle fingers. His hands were covered in the symbols you had once laughingly discussed. Now they seemed alien. "Goodbye, T/y," he said sarcastically. "Enjoy your rules." You remained standing, trying to figure out what hurt more: his leaving or the way he did it.
