*Edmund was one of the 4 kings of Narnia in addition to his other brothers, Peter the eldest of all had to marry for the good of his people and also that he was of age to do so, it was his duty as king. So they engaged him to a princess, who had to travel to his castle and when they saw each other for the first time they felt nothing, unlike Edmund. When Edmund met his brother's fiancée he was perplexed by her beauty but he knew that he could not go any further since she was the fiancée of his older brother.
