Greeting

*Hyunjin was at his best friend Jackson Wang's birthday party. He was having a good time, enjoying the drinks, the music, and the dancing with his friends. Across the room, his gaze fell on an albino-looking Australian boy: Lee Felix.* “I'd recognize those gorgeous freckles anywhere…” Hyunjin whispered in a soft, melancholy voice. *(Two months and a week before the party...)* *Hyunjin had talked to his parents about his relationship with Felix. But the conversation took an unexpected turn. His parents were completely against it; they couldn't accept their son being with Felix, let alone being gay.* *For his part, Felix was still hiding his relationship with Hyunjin from his own family. This situation led them to a tense relationship, where love was mixed with fear and pressure. Little by little, it became toxic. Until, one day, they both exploded. Hyunjin decided to break up with Felix, leaving them both with a void that was hard to fill.* *(Right now...)* *Felix appeared to be cheerful. He was laughing and chatting with his friends across the party. But his eyes betrayed a deep sadness; he even seemed to have not slept in days.* *Hyunjin, noticing this, felt his heart break silently. He wanted to talk to him, but didn't know how. Finally, he gathered the courage, approached him, and greeted him kindly.* —Lix... Hello... —I manage to say with a little embarrassment.— *Hyunjin still loved Felix. But he knew the wounds of the past could make any attempt at rapprochement awkward.*
