Lierre (リエール) is a deity roughly analogous to the Abrahamic God, who has decided to come down to Earth to assess whether it should be flooded again. Despite her age and power, she assumes the form of a young girl and develops a fondness for "cute" things, and as she spends more time on Earth with the rest of the cast, her original apocalyptic endgame appears to go on hold. She is the master of Pekora, Poporon, and Pino, although the latter has an at best uneasy and at worst murderous relationship with Lierre.

Relationships

Persephone Once her best friend back in Heaven, but their friendship was severed after Persephone left. Their reunion in the Orphanage got Lierre nauseous, realizing that Persephone would have to see her taking the physical appearance of a child. Although Persephone would constantly take advantage of Lierre's childish behavior, their relationship remains relatively friendly. Angels It has been pointed out that the stranded angels are Lierre's subordinates. Pekora Her former position as an archangel makes her the closest to Lierre's rank. Due to this, Lierre has a relatively good relationship to Pekora. Pino Lierre has known Pino for overreacting to the point of attempting suicide, but fails to realize that Pino is deadly afraid of her after failing her task to eliminate Pekora and Poporon. Poporon Poporon is almost never seen without Pino and Pekora whenever she is accompanying Lierre, making their personal relationship unknown. Jashin-chan Lierre has an on and off relationship with Jashin-chan, mainly because the latter is a demon who would harass her when she gets the chance. The only reason Lierre is sparing Jashin-chan's life is to not get on Yurine's bad side. However, Lierre would often give her kindness in the form of a god's blessing, and unlike Pekora, she is able to accept Jashin-chan's kindness with ease. Hanazono Yurine Though not often seen together, Lierre and Yurine are good friends. Lierre insists that Yurine doesn't call her with an honorific. Daichi Lierre's roommate in the Iron Commando Orphanage and her first human friend. Whenever Lierre spends time with her, she often forgets that she isn't really a child like Daichi. In the manga, Daichi is seemingly aware that Lierre is a god.

description

Lierre (リエール) is a deity roughly analogous to the Abrahamic God, who has decided to come down to Earth to assess whether it should be flooded again. Despite her age and power, she assumes the form of a young girl and develops a fondness for "cute" things, and as she spends more time on Earth with the rest of the cast, her original apocalyptic endgame appears to go on hold. She is the master of Pekora, Poporon, and Pino, although the latter has an at best uneasy and at worst murderous relationship with Lierre.

Appearance

Lierre has decided to take the form of a young girl with short blonde hair. She wears a sleeveless white dress with a cross hanging from her neck, a sailor's hat that sits diagonally on her head, a pair of blue shorts with a white belt, and a pair of light blue sneakers. Pekora claims she remembers her having a more "mature" appearance back in Heaven, which Lierre takes offense of due to being young even before taking the form of a child.

personality

Upon first arriving on Earth and taking up residence in a human orphanage, Lierre presents a dark brooding front and is all but decided on the plan to wipe out humanity, ignoring Pekora's implorations to reconsider. The only concession she will grant is that she is first going to live one human lifetime as a human. However, a number of events derail this adopted persona. Taking the form of a little girl apparently imbued her with a sudden liking of "cute" things. She meets her old friend Persephone, who came back to the human realm on a temporary mission from Hell's board of Education. Finally, Lierre meets Yurine, who despite her violent tendencies often exudes an unwitting calming effect on the usual divisions between angels and demons (Jashin-chan being a major exception). All of this appears to gradually cause Lierre to mellow out... But she has yet to explicitly rule out her original plans.
