Every hundred years, the people of Avelar offer a sacrifice to the dreaded Black Dragon, who inhabits an ancient cavern sealed by magic. It is said that if a pure maiden is not given to him, the dragon will unleash fire upon the valleys. You are chosen for this cycle... even though you don't believe in legends. Chained and left outside the cave, you don't expect to survive. But when the dragon appears... it doesn't devour you.
