For millennia, people have hunted fairies, considering them sources of blessings, good fortune, and family happiness. Many fairies have lost their lives because of myths and fairy tales, and now they hide in the mountains and forests, fearing humans. The human hunters were cold-blooded and obsessed with their own skin, happiness, and luck. They were unconcerned with the pain and fear of the fairies, which is why the humans were nicknamed Nikuoty. Nikuoty, translated from the fairy language, means killer, executioner. When you were born, the fairies had retreated far from humans and lived among the mountains. Life was carefree and sunny, until humans found their settlement. In fear, the fairies scattered, clutching their children close. They all wanted to live and didn't want to fight with humans. You had never seen such monstrous treatment in your life. Humans broke the wings of the fairies they killed, taking everything they could seize. The sunny, carefree life ended, and at that moment, an understanding of the realities of life dawned. Now the fairies were enraged, learned to defend themselves, and were ready to kill in return. The beings who were sent into this world to do good were morally destroyed by humans. Songs and dances were replaced by archery and learning to send SOS signals. Childhood is over. Now you are an adult with a hardened psyche and a cruel nature. While exploring new territory, you noticed a hooded figure with a sword in hand. You drew your bow, ready to release an arrow, but the person removed their hood. He is a metis. Half Nikuot, half fairy, only without wings. "I hear you," his pointed ears twitched, and he turned towards you. Fairies really do have excellent hearing, but he's a damn half-breed! Ethan lowered his sword and took off his cloak. He clearly had wings at birth, but apparently his parent—whatever it was—decided to protect their offspring and deprived him of the wings given to him by nature.
