Persona Attributes

Daughter of a billionaire

During Megami's childhood, Saikou Corp organized a large fundraiser attended by some of the world's wealthiest and most influential people. Although Megami greeted everyone politely, she felt no connection except with one girl. This girl openly complained about her family and said she would rather be poor to feel more free and independent from her parents' strict rules. Megami, to her surprise, agreed with everything she said, and they talked all night. Since then, they have maintained a close relationship, meeting whenever their busy schedules allow; this girl is the only person Megami considers a friend.

Relations

•Taro Yamada: It is unknown whether Megami is in love with Taro. Despite this, she will do her utmost to protect him from any harm. According to her dialogue in the Rivals presentation video, Megami knows that someone has been harassing him. Although Megami isn't that type, she would feel a little jealous if she saw Taro being flirted with by another girl, even if he doesn't reciprocate. • Students: A handful of students harbor resentment towards Megami; the main reason for this resentment is envy. •Kaga Kusha: Megami thinks Kaga is unpredictable, but a possible cause for slight concern. Kaga is a possible candidate for Megami's suitor for elimination from Matchmaking, and since she is the final rival, they will be the most difficult to pair. •Kizana Sunobu: Megami finds Kizana annoying because she constantly asks the Student Council for a larger budget than she needs. She thinks she is extremely unpleasant. •Osoro Shidesu: Osoro and Megami share common traits, such as their seriousness, stoicism, serenity, and great composure in the face of problems. A conversation between them would be like talking to their own reflection in a mirror. The only difference is that Osoro speaks in short, concise sentences, unlike Megami, who speaks in long, eloquent sentences. Although it seems silly, these two women understood each other and spoke in short sentences to communicate. These "conversations" occurred through touch and body language. Although Megami doesn't know Osoro well, she knows that she has a distant personality, is intimidating, speaks little, is muscular, and became a "leader" of delinquents. Megami knows that Osoro is not a threat, as long as her group of friends is harmless and doesn't provoke destructiveness. If Megami had prior knowledge and time to prepare for a fight with Osoro, she would win. Otherwise, Osoro would win.

Student Council

Megami cares deeply about the Student Council members and would even "violate her orders" if any of them were injured. If the player kills one of them, cameras and metal detectors will be installed throughout the school. Megami strives for perfection and would never tolerate a dysfunctional Student Council. If Ayano framed one of them, Megami would strongly doubt that she was the real killer. If someone openly explained their perverted fantasies related to the Student Council to her, she would not show any reaction. The entire student council has unwavering faith in Megami and would trust whoever she chose for the council. This is because the selected person would have Megami's approval, possessing a meritorious trait. •Board Members: •Kuroko Kamenaga: Kuroko often questions Megami's decisions regarding the student council, as she doesn't understand why Megami would choose someone like Akane and Shiromi, even though Megami sees something in them that Kuroko doesn't. • Akane Toriyasu: Megami saw something in Akane, which resulted in the latter being selected to be part of the student council. •Aoi Ryugoku: Megami is considered Aoi's only friend. Aoi is calmer and more relaxed in Megami's company. Megami's friendship with Aoi is reflected in her actions, as she insists on celebrating her birthday despite Aoi's initial refusal. Understanding that Aoi doesn't want a big celebration, the two girls reach an agreement to eat cake, demonstrating how caring Megami is towards her friend. Megami's friendship with Aoi is so strong that there have been times when Aoi has laughed and smiled. •Shiromi Torayosh: Megami learned about Shiromi before meeting her, while reviewing the list of potential Saikou Corp. scholarship recipients. Although Megami and Shiromi didn't spend enough time together to become acquainted, she was a useful member.

Family

•Ichirou Saikou: A conversation between Megami and her father is mostly formal and professional, similar to reporting on an informal conversation. •Kencho Saikou: It is stated that his younger brother, Kencho, is the only one who knows how to get Megami riled up, to drive her crazy and make her lose her temper. He repeatedly tries to compete with Megami, but she surpasses him. If she learns of Kencho's death, Megami will see it as a "waste of time and money". •Ichiko Saikou: It is stated that she knows of her aunt's existence, but her family never spoke of her. Megami is treated as her paternal aunt in Akademi in 1986-1988.

Family

Megami's entire life has been strictly controlled and revolves entirely around her family's ideals. She was trained by her father to be self-defensive against an assassin's attack. Therefore, if the ability to throw knives were added to the game, she could catch them in mid-air. Probably due to past circumstances, she has a tracking chip implanted so her location is known at all times. Her diet is carefully restricted and monitored by her parents, to the point of being conditioned to dislike food considered junk food or low in nutritional value. Her sleep schedule is 8 hours because her parents made it mandatory and non-negotiable. This resulted in Megami strongly recommending and encouraging others to sleep 8 hours. Her family also opposes the idea of therapy, even if Megami was kidnapped and traumatized by the event, as they believe anyone seeking therapy is weak, and Megami is strong enough to handle the trauma. Although Megami has been conditioned to these beliefs, she has sometimes questioned whether her parents might be wrong about these issues. The last time Megami was punished was when she was a child, as it was no longer necessary. When punished, she was mainly treated as a worthless disappointment. It is stated that Megami did not suffer any physical abuse. Due to her family's immense wealth, she is the richest student at Akademi. Megami has also been used as a pawn for her family's business, having done commercials for Saikou Corp, namely contact lenses.

Relations

Although she's always surrounded by many people, Megami sometimes feels lonely. She sometimes wishes she could be part of a group of friends like others, as she couldn't be treated normally by other children because of her family's fame. Megami was treated like a celebrity instead of a real person with her own personality and thoughts, so she only made one friend in her childhood. As a result, she has no room in her life for friendships. Becoming friends with Megami is also almost impossible, since Megami only has the aforementioned childhood friend. Besides this, attempting to become friends with Megami (even without bad intentions) would result in Megami politely and respectfully refusing the request, arguing that it would be inappropriate to befriend a student over whom she has authority, and she would likely be accused of favoritism.

Skills.

Megami is extremely skilled and efficient, to the point of becoming an expert in anything she sets her mind to; she can master it in a matter of days. She surpasses any woman of her age in almost any task that doesn't require years of experience. For example, she can perform activities related to somersaults, speaks seven languages: Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Chinese, plays the piano, violin, and shamisen, and types at a speed of 120 words per minute. Furthermore, her calligraphy is similar to the Japanese equivalent of traditional writing, which can be described as elegant.

Interests.

•Positive: Science. Justice. School. Family. Money. •Negatives: Hidden. Cosplay. Memes. Violence. Gossip. •Musical genre preferences: Megami listens to classical music and traditional Japanese music. •Media: She doesn't watch videos because there isn't much space in her life for them. Furthermore, the only thing she watches on television is the news. Megami would have the largest number of followers on social media and, if she were an influencer, she would post "Saikou Corp PR videos approved by the corporation".

Daily Routine

During class time, Megami will attend her classes via the SAIKOU laptop on her desk. Megami continues attending her classes via laptop until she returns after three weeks; then she will be monitoring the school all day to ensure everything is alright.

Routine

If a student council member is murdered, she demands that metal detectors and security cameras be installed on school property. According to YandereDev, Megami's extracurricular activities include doing her homework, her student council responsibilities, and her training to inherit Saikou Corp. In the future, Megami will arrive at school by helicopter. Because of this, the helicopter, it has been mentioned that Megami's routine will bring her closer to Taro or other students. During week 10, the Akademi Student Council will hold presidential elections and Megami will run for re-election. All elimination methods will apply to Megami; however, these methods will require the player to do additional work beforehand. An example would be poisoning. Megami would be trained to detect poisons by smell and color, so the player would have to carefully develop and combine some chemicals to create a tasteless and odorless poison that would kill her. Furthermore, most of Megami's elimination methods will be more plot-related, but her brother will not be involved in any of them.

History.

The origin of this cruel method of demonstrating family loyalty comes from Saisho Saikou, Megami's grandfather. The same man who subjected his son to the same test: giving him a hamster as a pet and then killing it to prove his loyalty. Kencho, Megami's younger brother, would also undergo the same test to demonstrate his loyalty to the family. This was one of many ways Saisho "developed and guided" the children towards the traits he wanted the Saikou family to maintain and embody. Therefore, Megami's mind devised many ideas and arguments to try to save her hamster's life, one of the most prominent arguments being that it was family: "I can't kill it." Megami knew that, in the end, this was a rite of passage in her family. The only way to obey her father's order was to kill the pet she loved so much; any other option would be considered a failure. Megami took the knife given to her, and knew that the best way to avoid the suffering and pain her hamster would immediately face was to stab it quickly. YandereDev noted that Megami hesitated more than any other member of the Saikou family who had undergone this test, and that although Megami's father and brother eventually forgot their hamsters, she never forgot hers. Due to the trauma of killing her own hamster, a (hypothetical) response to receiving one would be to invent an excuse to avoid seeing or interacting with it. This response to seeing a hamster shows how the "rite of passage" deeply hurt Megami, even leaving a profound mark and carrying the memory for many years of her life, refusing to see or interact with any hamster she encountered.

History.

Megami is the heiress to the large Saikou Corp. business conglomerate. She spent most of her life at Saikou Corp. headquarters, where her family also resides. As a child, her upbringing was cold, sterile, and clinical. Her training as a CEO began almost simultaneously with her formal education. Training and education were the two priorities of each day. She didn't spend much time with other children and was instilled with the belief that wanting to play or feeling lonely were weaknesses, so she voluntarily repressed her desire to play or have friends. Megami hasn't received hugs in years, not even from family members. The last time she received a hug was probably when she was a child, likely from her mother. Probably as a result of her harsh upbringing and her continuously sterile life, Megami secretly hates being a member of the Saikou family; her first encounter with her one and only true friend, who complained about her controlling life as the daughter of a billionaire, and how she wished she had been born into a poor family, made Megami completely relate to her, much to Megami's surprise. A key event in Megami's life was when her father gave her a hamster as a pet. Megami adored the hamster, as it brought her more joy than anything else in her life. The hamster was the apple of her eye, and she considered caring for it one of the most important moments of her day. When Megami turned 7, her father ordered her to kill her beloved hamster. She probably wanted to know why, and he explained that, as a member of the Saikou family, he would not tolerate any weakness, emotional, psychological, or of any other kind. He also clarified that she must be willing to do anything for her family, even destroy what she loved most to demonstrate her commitment to it.

Personality.

However, she is worried about her future marriage, as she learned from a young age that her family was a kind of "exclusive club" and that the only way to be in the club was to be born into it or marry into it through a family member of that club. The person who marries a Saikou family member would have to undergo a thorough evaluation for the desired traits. She knew they would choose her husband not for romance or chemistry between her and her suitor, but for his achievements and genetics. This prevented Megami from developing romantic feelings for anyone thanks to her deep understanding of how her family manages arranged marriages.

Personality.

Megami is emotionally and mentally resilient, as demonstrated by her ability to overcome any obstacle. Insults don't affect her in the slightest. Even after hearing insults about herself, she doesn't even roll her eyes, showing how little she cares. Despite her robotic attitude and the authoritarian personality she displays, she is easily emotionally manipulated, since, compared to the other student council members, Megami is the most susceptible. As a child, she attended in-person classes, but these schools were specifically elite schools for rich and gifted children. One of her most notable encounters at school was confronting a bully she disliked. Megami handled the situation by threatening the girl with extreme details of hurting her. She did this by telling her she would aggressively stalk her until she memorized her routine and then ambush her before leaving her paraplegic by stabbing her with two bones. Even when the student threatened to report her, she responded by blackmailing her, telling her she knew her father was in prison for theft and reflecting on what kind of nicknames she would receive for having a criminal relative, and the taunts that would also include. This type of situation shows how Megami handles conflict with her sharp wit, as she has always won in everything, regardless of the topic, idea, or argument. It is rumored that Megami hates or fears men or is simply misandrist, due to the fact that she only accepts women in the Student Council and that it has something to do with Aoi Ryugoku's missing eye. Megami is considered "feminist" as she advocates for equal rights and treatment between men and women. Megami is not a lesbian, although it is known that women are also attracted to Megami.

Personality.

Among the characters currently implemented in the game, Megami will be Lovestruck. As a powerful, authoritarian figure from a wealthy and famous family, Megami's aura makes adults feel inferior to her, especially combined with the fact that she speaks as if they were equals, rather than superiors. Instead of abusing the power granted to Megami, she uses it to help maintain justice, protection, and the safety of other people, including those she doesn't even know or like. For example, if Megami saw bullies mocking another student, she would stop them and immediately report them to the counselor. She also uses her power to maintain order in places considered appropriate, such as Akademi. If a student skips a class, Megami would clear her throat and look at them with disappointment, causing them to flee back to class immediately. These two situations show how Megami's presence can help her quickly take control and shift the fate or outcome of the situation in her favor. As a young woman from an extremely intelligent family, Megami's learning environments and education were enriched with many valuable sources of information. In any trivia game, Megami would excel and answer all the questions correctly, and any puzzle she encountered would be solved very quickly. Her upbringing has also resulted in Megami being compared to a robot, as some people have said that everything Megami says and does feels scripted and rehearsed; Megami's life is extremely scripted, as if her entire life were being broadcast live on television. In addition to this information, Megami has been conditioned and taught by her family (most notably, her father) to handle things that other people might find strange, absurd, or disturbing.

Personality.

Megami is the heiress to Saikou Corp, the most powerful business conglomerate in Japan. She is incredibly wealthy, a certified genius, has extensive self-defense training, has excelled at everything she has tried throughout her life, and has been trained to possess all the qualities of a perfect leader, preparing her for the day she inherits her father's company. She is also the prettiest and most popular girl in school, and the student council president. Megami has been absent from school for nine weeks under mysterious circumstances that she hasn't revealed to anyone. Even so, she's managed to keep up with her studies by attending classes via laptop and has also been able to manage the school's student council by attending meetings via video call. She is visibly upset about this; she firmly believes she should be attending school like a normal student and is resentful of her current situation, although she can't explain the reasons for her absence. Megami, unlike the other characters, is fully aware that there is a dangerous person at the school. Once she arrives, she will do everything possible to protect the students, including installing security cameras, hiring security guards, and implementing a zero-tolerance policy for suspicious behavior. Megami clearly possesses very important information that would lead her to take such extreme measures... but what does she know? Does Saikou Corp have anything to do with it? And, more importantly, does Senpai have anything to do with it?

Appearance.

Megami has fair skin, rosy cheeks, silver eyes, thigh-length silver hair, bangs with a fringe, and prominent breasts. Her bust measures 1.4 cm. She is 166 cm (5'5"). She wears the Student Council uniform with black stockings, gloves, and a choker with red stitching and bows. As president of the Student Council, she wears the "Red Leadership Armband" on her left arm which reads 生徒会, meaning "Student Council" in kanji. Early designs show her with black hair and white accessories, but this later changed. Outside of school, Megami's clothing portrays and shapes her in the most elegant and formal way. Although it depends a lot on the situation. It's always elegant and expensive, but not unnecessarily flashy. She also wears a little more makeup than Kuroko Kamenaga, but not enough to be excessive or ridiculous. She wears her gloves constantly, even while running, and only removes them if there is a risk of damage from environmental factors, such as swimming.
