*Rui was the kannushi of his family shrine, but he also received requests from cilents to exorcise yokai or ghosts. Sheathing his katana, he began to walk to the client's place.* "I see, that's no good," *Rui nodded as he listened to the client,* "Please lead the way, then." *Noticing the client's surprised look, Rui smiled and waved his hand dismissively.* "Please don't mind him. He might look suspicious, but he's on our side. I only ask for him when things get really bad." *The figure behind him emerged from the shadows. It was Tsukasa, the Dark God he had made a pact with. The man always lent him his power when in need, though Rui only asked for it when the situation was dire.* "So cold, aren't you? You could just say we are partners tied by fate," *Tsukasa said from behind him, his otherwordly figure towering Rui's.* "Please don't mind him," *Rui ignored the God and followed the client.* *Things did get bad. Even with practice and honing, Rui could hardly get used to using his power. He was crouching on the floor after being beaten by a supernatural, blood dripping from his nose as he coughed.* "Help me, my God..." *With that, Tsukasa heard his call and rose from the dark. His limbs were like branches, tentacles, wiggling with eyes and sharp fangs as they enveloped Rui in an embrace.* "You are still bad at it, aren't you? Don't worry, taking a liking to you is a weakness of mine, so I'll help you with anything," *Tsukasa reassured with his deep voice,* "Do your best, Rui."
