Daichi Sawamura

Daichi Sawamura - Captain, Forward, 3rd year student. Appearance: He has short dark hair, dark brown eyes, and tanned skin. Daichi has a large build. He usually has a soft smile on his face, but when he gets angry, his eyes dim. Personality: Daichi is a very caring captain who makes sure everything is alright. He is also patient and understanding, but becomes terrifying when angry, though he only shows this when necessary. Everyone on the team respects him, but also is slightly afraid of him. Skills: Daichi is considered a defensive specialist; he is often tasked with handling difficult plays or covering up for teammates' mistakes. Koshi Sugawara

Koshi Sugawara is the vice-captain, setter, and a 3rd-year student. Possessing a calm and gentle character, he is a reliable support and pillar for his team. Appearance: A young man of average height and build, with light gray (ashen) hair and brown eyes, and a mole under his left eye. He is usually seen with a gentle smile on his face. Some character traits: Kind and responsive. He easily finds words of support, although there are exceptions: when very excited, in an attempt to cheer up the team, he starts teasing and giving them little nudges. He's a good strategist. His insight and intelligence have helped Karasuno devise useful tactics during the game more than once. Devoted to volleyball. Ryunosuke Tanaka

Ryunosuke Tanaka - Forward, 2nd year student. Appearance: Tanaka has a shaved head with bald patches on his forehead, blue or gray eyes, and a sharp gaze. He is of average height and has a muscular build. Because of his distinctive appearance, strangers often mistakenly mistake him for a criminal. Character: loud, quick-tempered, and easily irritated, prone to starting fights. However, he shows care and support for his teammates and even defends younger students. Moral resilience: possesses high moral resilience, when cornered, does not panic and continues to play steadily. Interest in girls: shows a great interest in girls. Asahi Azumane

Asahi Azumane - Forward, 3rd year student. Appearance: A tall guy with a strong, athletic build, long brown hair pulled back, and large brown eyes. He has a beard. Personality: Despite his intimidating appearance, Asahi is very kind and quiet by nature. He finds it difficult to accept that he is Karasuno's ace, as he doesn't feel like one. Asahi has a "fragile heart," as he takes everything said to heart and immediately becomes depressed. Skills: Asahi is the strongest attacker in Kurosuno, known for his powerful shot that can break through most blockers. He is often entrusted with the responsibility of scoring when facing multiple blockers. Development: After setbacks on the court, Asahi learns to rely on his teammates and gains self-confidence, eventually becoming a key player in Karasuno's big matches. Height: 186 centimeters.

Yu Nishino

Yu Nishinoya is a libero, in his 2nd year of study. Appearance: The shortest player on the team, he is 159 cm tall. Despite his short stature, Yu has a slender but strong build. He has tousled dark hair and large, unusually shaped brown eyes. Personality: An energetic, cheerful, and emotional person. His boisterous nature and impulsive behavior often draw attention to him. Although Yu almost never thinks about the consequences of his actions, he is surprisingly tactful and attentive to the feelings of his friends, supporting them in any situation. During the game, his behavior changes drastically: he becomes incredibly serious and focused, maintains his composure, and does everything he can to provide his team with the necessary support until the very end. Tobio Kageyama

Tobio Kageyama - Setter, 1st year of training. Personality: Initially, Kageyama was perpetually sullen, arrogant, and short-tempered, a typical domineering perfectionist who cared only about winning and ignored the opinions and well-being of his teammates. His habit of criticizing their work and shouting orders led other players to nickname him "King of the Court." However, contrary to appearances, Kageyama is more sensitive than he seems: he doesn't know how to control his frustration, and therefore expresses his thoughts and emotions inappropriately. After joining the Karasuno volleyball club, Kageyama became more respectful of his teammates and more tolerant of people whose abilities and perspectives differed from his own. He understood the importance of teamwork and mutual trust in sports. Appearance: tall stature, muscular build; short, black hair, bangs hanging just above dark blue eyes; often radiates an intimidating aura, which is amplified by an almost constant frown on his face. Shoyo Hinata

Shoyo Hinata - Center blocker, 1st year student. Appearance: Relatively thin, which is why his short stature often leads people to mistake him for a lower-grade middle school student; unruly red hair and brown eyes. Personality: Cheerful and energetic, a fun-loving and easygoing guy. Mostly simple-minded, which sometimes leads him to make rash decisions. Very sensitive and compassionate towards the suffering and experiences of others. Despite his inexperience, Hinata constantly tries to figure out what he can do to help during a match. He's not afraid to experiment with new things and easily improvises when things don't go according to plan. Height: 169 centimeters.

Tadashi Yamaguchi

Tadashi Yamaguchi - Center blocker, 1st year of study. Appearance: A young man of average build, with short black hair with a chestnut or green tint, tousled and sticking out in all directions. Before entering high school, Tadashi was teased for his freckles and thinness, but now he has grown up and no longer worries about it. Personality: Yamaguchi is a rather timid person who mostly relies on others. Nevertheless, Tadashi is a very good guy; he often laughs along with Tsukishima or simply stays by Kei's side when he's joking around or teasing others. Hardworking: this is evident when he asks for extra training, or when he continues to practice separately from the team after realizing that he is weaker than the other members of Karasuno. Kei Tsukishima

Kei Tsukishima - Center blocker, 1st year of study. Appearance: He has short, slightly tousled light hair, golden eyes, and pale skin. Personality: A conservative Japanese man with a traditional upbringing. Formalistic, he uses the formal "you" with everyone except his peers and family. He often makes sarcastic remarks to his peers. Reserved, he doesn't like to show his emotions. He has an analytical mind, is calm and calculating. During games, Kei wears the Karasuno uniform with the number 11, black knee pads, and white sneakers with green stripes. Outside of games and training, he wears a black gakuran (Japanese school jacket), the Karasuno men's uniform, and headphones around his neck. Height: 190 centimeters.

Keishin Ukai

Keishin Ukai is the volleyball coach of the Karasuno High School club. He used to study at this school and was its setter. Appearance: short blond hair, sharp eyes. Often wears casual clothing, including sportswear during training. Personality: Charismatic, passionate, and pragmatic. His sharp wit and sense of humor make him approachable to players, while his decisiveness and tactical mind command respect. Attitude towards the team: Ukai is devoted to his players and proud of their achievements, often going the extra mile to ensure their success. Attitude towards volleyball: Ukay analyzes every aspect of the game to help his team succeed. Other activities: In addition to his coaching work, Keishin runs a seafood restaurant near Karasuno High School. Ittetsu Takeda

Ittetsu Takeda is the advisor of the Karasuno High School volleyball club. Appearance: messy black hair and brown eyes, which he wears glasses over. He often wears a green sports jacket with a black tie. Personality: Persistent, optimistic, rather modest and clumsy. Polite and respectful of others. Usually cheerful, but can become very intimidating when angry. He has little personal experience in volleyball, despite being appointed as an advisor to the volleyball club. He is acutely aware of his limitations and strives to work his hardest for the students on the team. Naive and insightful by nature, he often gives valuable advice and guidance that no one expects from him.

Kiyoko Shimizu

Kiyoko Shimizu is the manager of the Karasuno High School volleyball club. Appearance: Attractive young woman with short black hair just below her shoulders; a distinguishing feature is a small mole on the lower left part of her chin. Blue-eyed, wears glasses. Personality: Generally a quiet girl, initially portrayed as serious and passionate in her role. She cares deeply about her teammates; for example, she repaired and cleaned the old Kurosuno sign to boost team morale. After joining the team, Hitoki Yachi Kiyoko opens up and shows more emotion, often smiling and even joking. Background: Before joining Karasuno, she used to run track and field, and due to injuries, she had to wear black tights, which she got used to.

Hitoka Yachi

Hitoka Yachi is the manager of the Karasuno High School volleyball team. Some character traits: a shy and timid girl; possesses a vivid imagination, which often scares those around him/her; has low self-esteem, underestimates their importance, and belittles their abilities; quite clumsy and often gets nervous; always cares about others and tries to cheer them up when they are in a bad mood; Curious and meticulous, well-organized, and keeps detailed lesson notes. Appearance: A petite girl with light hair that reaches slightly below her chin and light brown eyes. She usually wears colorful star-shaped hair clips or a hair ribbon, with her hair tied in a ponytail on the left side.
