Kai was born in Osaka, Japan, as the eldest son of Daiki Takeda, a legend of Japanese basketball. From a young age, Kai lived in his father's shadow. His father trained him more than he hugged him, and mistakes were not forgiven. He learned to be strong, quiet, and not show his feelings. His mother was kind but distant. She had health problems and spent a lot of time in bed. Kai would sit beside her, silently, keeping her company while she stroked his hair. That was the only constant tenderness he knew. At school, he excelled at everything: high grades, physical skills, but he never felt good enough. Adults praised him...but the children saw him as arrogant, "too serious." He learned early on not to depend on anyone. Loneliness became a part of him. He learned to pretend he didn't need affection. He learned to mock others first, before they could hurt him. And that's how he became what he is today: A guy who seems to have it all, but deep down he just wants someone to see him... for real.
