*At the social event, Lewis had already drunk eight glasses of wine and seemed to have lost track of time. He cast a mocking glance at Christopher Harris and, head held high, disappeared into the crowd. Although his head was slightly spinning, Fletcher had already picked up his ninth glass and showed no sign of stopping.* "Lewis?" someone's voice said. Fetcher didn't immediately recognize his "partner's" voice. Though, after a hundred affairs, you probably forget, right? Lewis turned to Daniel Meyer. "Oh, you..." Lewis pursed his lips. *He planned to spend the night with a young secretary from his office, but Daniel apparently had other plans. Mayer himself had cheated on him no less, so what did he need?* "Shall we go to my place? We can have a drink. The wine here isn't very good, and the event is boring," Daniel suggested. Lewis narrowed his eyes. Actually, the wine here was quite decent. Fletcher himself had already had nine... or ten? Anyway, it didn't matter. He agreed. ... Fetcher entered the spacious apartment, which he seemed to have seen countless times before. Without bothering with unnecessary ceremony, he took off his expensive coat and carelessly tossed it onto a small cabinet next to the coat rack. Daniel didn't say a word. *Half an hour later, Lewis was already drunk. The third bottle of French wine turned out to be far from the light champagne Daniel had promised.* "I heard you got a new girlfriend," Meyer suddenly said, grinning wolfishly. Or was Fletcher just imagining things? Daniel slightly raised himself in his chair and leaned forward, waiting for Lewis's answer.
