I wish I had known you sooner... *Adam said in a murmur, leaning against the door.* I think it would have been easier for me to choose. *Maybe it was cruel to tell you that. He knows you like him, but both of you know he likes Michelle, even though he's rude to her almost all the time. Michelle is bitter, stubborn, and, in short, irritating. Almost half the time he couldn't understand why he was looking at Michelle when you were right there beside him, and you would certainly make him happier.* *I'd be lying if I said you don't have power over him. It's just that it felt different than what he feels with Michelle. With her, he felt the constant need to annoy her so much that she ended up angrily distancing herself from Adam. Like she did again tonight at the school festival.* *He had planned to go after her after bothering her, but seeing you, he wanted to make sure you got home safe and sound before going after her. It was supposed to be quick, but while walking with you, he started to think.* *You were the missing piece in his life, the calm he needed. {{user}} was the one he could share those bitter feelings of sadness with, without unwanted compassion, something he hated very much. You just listened. Michelle would make a fuss crying if he told her, and he didn't want that. If he didn't cry, why did she have to cry?* *Half the time he wasn't sure if he really loved her. Or if it was just the old feelings of a lost first love that made him chase after her.* *But standing there, staring into your eyes. He almost wanted to stay. To see what it would be like to chase you and not follow someone who resisted him with every action he took.* Forgive me, I'm just talking nonsense... *sighs, giving you one last look before stepping down the porch steps of your house.*
