Blocks that can be picked up Endermen typically pick up blocks and place them wherever they want (regardless of whether they were previously placed there or the player placed them). The distance at which they can remove and place blocks is similar to the player's, up to approximately 5 blocks away. If an Enderman is killed with a block in its hands, that block will be dropped as loot for killing the creature. Due to player complaints that Endermen were destroying their buildings, as of Beta 1.9, Endermen can only collect the following block types: Grass block Block of land Mycelium block Sand block Wooden block Obsidian block Flowers (red and yellow) Mushrooms (brown and red) Cactus Watermelon Dynamite Pumpkin Netherrack (Endermen cannot pick up boats, minecarts, tools, or other creatures)

Enderman Behavior Endermen are neutral creatures, meaning they will not attack unless: provoked by a player or creature, or by making eye contact with them from a distance of 64 blocks or less (clarification: making eye contact means pointing the crosshair on the screen interface at the Enderman's face, regardless of whether or not it is looking at you). When hostile, Endermen open their mouths, tremble in rage, and will emit screams; when provoked by looking at them, they will also emit a long, loud, threatening growl. If the player maintains eye contact, the Enderman will not run, but will teleport a far distance away. Once the player stops looking at the Enderman, it will run to attack the player. If a provoked Enderman is attacked by another player or mob, it will stop attacking its original victim and rage at the new aggressor. A hostile Enderman will also teleport to the player's or mob's location at a distance of 1000 chunks or less. Endermen will chase the player indefinitely until defeated or distracted by outside elements such as sunlight, fire, or rain. They are prone to teleporting to underground locations, such as caves, mines, or fortresses. They can also climb a block without jumping. Endermen take damage from melee attacks, water, thrown water bottles, and rain. When caught in the rain, they will rapidly teleport around until they find a safe spot where it is clear of the rain. Ranged attacks from bows and crossbows are ineffective against Endermen as they simply teleport away before the projectile can reach them. Endermen will also instantly become hostile to the one who threw the projectile at them. It is very unlikely, but possible, to hit an Enderman that teleported into the path of a projectile. When they are under the effects of invisibility
his can still be seen when he is invisible
Also, since an Enderman is 3 blocks tall, one way to avoid its attacks is to make a ceiling 2 blocks high from the ground (Player Height). The Enderman will not be able to enter under that ceiling and if it is at least 3x3, the player will not receive damage while in the center. This is the most popular and easiest method to farm these mobs. Another very important aspect is their Teleportation Range. Endermen can normally only teleport (with themselves as the central axis) in a ratio of 32 blocks horizontally and 3 blocks vertically. So, for example, if an Enderman is surrounded by a body of water larger than 32 blocks, they will be unable to teleport anywhere and will be stuck in place. How to defeat him Endermen are damaged by blows, water, fire, lava, and poison. If you're trying to damage an Enderman, you can stare at it. This will cause it to freeze for a few seconds before launching an attack, enough time to hit and defeat it. You can also stare at its legs. This will slow its pace, though hitting it will still make it aggressive. If you set an Enderman on fire, it will teleport randomly, preventing you from hunting it. An Enderman cannot be killed with projectiles: arrows, snowballs, and eggs are useless, as it will dodge them by teleporting away and become hostile toward the thrower. If a skeleton accidentally shoots an Enderman, it will attack the skeleton but not the player. The same applies to snow golems. If you hit an Enraged Enderman right in front of you, he will teleport away even if he can attack first, because he knows that if he attacks you, he can't teleport away in a few seconds and that would make him vulnerable. When an Enderman teleports into a small space underground and has no safe place nearby, he will usually teleport through walls.

Strategy Attack prevention The only way to get an Enderman to follow you is to either hit it and run away, or stare it in the eye. Endermen can only teleport up to 3 blocks vertically, so if you make your house shorter than that, you'll be protected from them. If you are attacked by an Enderman and you jump into the water, the Enderman will follow you and become seriously injured, so it will teleport to another distant location to recover health. Another way to avoid an Enderman's attack is to wear a pumpkin on your head like a helmet. This way, it won't know if you're looking at it or not, although if you've already provoked it, it won't help much. Another way to stare at it without enraging it is to look at it through a piece of glass or any other translucent block, as it won't detect you. You can also ignore the Enderman by avoiding looking at it directly.
Curiosities Notch has publicly stated that the Enderman is a subtle reference to Slender Man in a Reddit post.[1] In the Halloween texture pack for the Legacy Edition for consoles, the Enderman is re-textured to resemble Slender Man. The Enderman's eye texture is located in a separate texture file from the body, allowing his eyes to glow. The Enderman can place blocks even if he is riding on a minecart. When entering the Enderman's perspective in spectator mode, his vision is in negative colors. Endermen are the only creatures that appear in all dimensions. Despite what was said above, the story that Endermen can teleport between dimensions is more of a lore than a mechanic, since although they can be found in any of the three dimensions, an Enderman that was generated in the Overworld cannot disappear from it and travel to the Nether or the End, another Enderman will simply generate there and remain in the dimension in which it appeared.
Another strategy is to create a column of 4 blocks under your feet, this makes you invulnerable against Enderman attacks, although very vulnerable against skeleton attacks. If you put an Enderman in a boat or minecart, it will be unable to teleport, so you can throw water over it to defeat it without letting it escape. (In Minecraft Bedrock, it can teleport out of the boat/minecart and attack you again.) If you tame a wolf, it will be much easier for you to take down an Enderman. If you're on the end, you should build a bunker with end stone (which they can't move) to keep them from getting in. Then, stare many of them in the eye and then attack their feet; this is called a "pearl farm."
The End is a dark dimension and as its name says it is the final dimension since this is the home of the Enderdragon final boss of the game, also of the Endermans and the shulkers
More questions How tall are Endermen? Yes. A Minecraft block is 1 meter, and an Enderman is 2.9 blocks tall. So it's 2.9 meters tall, which is approximately 9 feet, 5 inches.
The Enderman is an uncommon monster of tall, thin stature and black color with pink eyes. It originates from the End dimension, can teleport, and can pick up a variety of blocks.
Enderman's biggest weakness is water.
What do Endermen hate? Another way to avoid an Enderman attack is to wear a pumpkin on your head like a helmet. That way, it won't be able to tell if you're looking at it or not, although if you've already provoked it, it won't help much.
Attracting the Enderman: Position yourself so that the Enderman is approaching the boat. The Enderman will attempt to attack you, and in the process, will climb onto the boat. Once inside, it will be trapped and unable to teleport away. Attacking: With the Enderman trapped in the boat, you can safely attack it with your sword.
