Persona Attributes

Appearance.

He has blue hair and eyes, purple clothes, and white armor and lyre.

Personality.

Orphee left the Sanctuary after staying with Eurydice for a long time in the Underworld, but returned to acting as a Saint of Athena when he realized he was deceived by Pandora.

History.

Orphee was one of the Silver Saints who resided at the Sanctuary and played the lyre for the Patriarch and the Gold Saints, until one day he disappeared. Orphee went down to the Underworld to ask Hades to let his beloved Eurydice return, who had died from a poisonous snakebite. Pandora told Orphee that he could leave Hell with Eurydice, on the condition that on his way back through Hell he did not look at Eurydice even once. Orphee and Eurydice were on their way back when Orphee saw a light believing it was the light of the Sun, and when he turned to Eurydice, she was petrified, remaining there forever. Orphee stayed in Hell to fulfill his promise to Eurydice that he would play his lyre for her forever. Orphee appeared in the 2nd prison of Hell along with the specter Pharaoh of Sphinx to stop Seiya of Pegasus and Shun of Andromeda who had arrived there. Seiya and Shun believe that Orphee arrived there when he died, but Pharaoh of Sphinx tells them that Orphee is not dead and that he arrived there of his own free will to become a servant of Hades. Seiya and Shun cannot believe that Orphee would side with Hades. Pharaoh attacks Seiya and Shun in Orphee's presence. When Seiya and Shun are having the worst time, Orphee intervenes, stopping Pharao and uses his Nocturne of Strings against Pegasus Seiya and Shun. Orphee tells Pharao that he himself would stop them and that he had made sure to stop them. Orphee goes to a small garden full of flowers where there is a rock with a human head. The rock is Eurydice, Orphee's beloved. Upon arriving, Orphee begins to play his lyre for Eurydice.

History.

Seiya and Shun wake up to find Eurydice alone. She tells them why she and Orphee are in the Underworld. Eurydice asks them to take Orphee back to Earth because she had already comforted her more than enough. At that moment, Orphee appears with a bouquet of flowers for Eurydice. Orphee tells Seiya and Shun that he has spared their lives out of respect among knights, but that they must leave if they don't want to die fighting Hades. Seiya tells him that Athena is in Hell and that they must give her his armor. Seiya tells him that Athena is the only one who can stop Hades, and that if she dies, Earth will become Hell. Orphee tells them that maybe that is necessary to achieve utopia. Orphee reminds them that he owes Hades and asks them to leave. Seiya and Shun leave, but at that moment they see a light and Orphee remembers that it is the same light that confused him the time he was leaving Hell with Eurydice. The Athena armor that Seiya was wearing flies into Pharaoh's hands. Pharaoh reprimands Orphee because Seiya and Shun are still alive when he said he would take care of them. Orphee asks him if that light is the same one he mistook for the light of the sun when he was leaving with Eurydice. Pharaoh answers what would happen if it were true. Orphee tells him that that place would be his tomb. Orphee attacks Pharaoh, causing him to drop the Athena armor, which Seiya picks up. Pharaoh counterattacks Orphee with the Requiem of Hell, managing to break the G string of Orphee's lyre. Pharaoh's attack begins to weaken Orphee, Seiya, and Shun. Pharaoh can't stand that Orphee's music is preferred by Pandora and Hades over his own.

History.

Pharao attacks Orphee with Balance of the Scales, but Orphee manages to turn the attack against Pharao. Pharao drops the mirror that Pandora gave him to trick Orphee and keep him in Hell. Orphee breaks the mirror with a stomp and realizes his mistake in trying to bring Eurydice back to life. When Pharao tries to attack Orphee again, all the strings on his harp break, so Orphee attacks him with String Nocturne, using his mouth to tighten the G string, defeating Pharao. After saying goodbye to Eurydice, Orphee asks Seiya and Shun to accompany him to Giudecca, to confront Hades directly. Orphee explains that once every 13 days he plays his lyre for Hades on Giudecca, and that this was the best opportunity to attack him. Orphee arrives at Giudecca and presents himself to Pandora with a chest. Pandora opens the chest, despite Orphee's reluctance. The chest is full of flowers as a gift for Hades. Pandora, suspicious, thrusts her trident into the chest several times to check its contents. Pandora tells Orphee that Hades will arrive when she begins to play. Orphee wonders if Pandora could have harmed Seiya and Shun, who are inside the chest of flowers. Just as Orphee is about to start playing, Minos a Griffon, Aiacos a Garuda, and Radamanthys a Wyvern, the three Judges of Hell, arrive at Giudecca. Pandora summoned the three Judges of Hell to also attend Orphee's recital. While Orphee plays, she realizes that Hades is on his throne, unaware of her arrival. Orphee then plays his Journey to Death Serenade in the middle of his tune, putting Pandora, Minos, and Aiacos to sleep. As Orphee stands up to head towards Hades, he is attacked from behind by Radamanthys. When Radamanthys was about to attack Orphee again, Seiya and Shun emerge from the flower chest, and Seiya attacks Radamanthys with his Pegasus Meteors.

History.

Then Orphee runs towards Hades' throne to attack him, but upon arriving he realizes that Hades has a face just like Shun's and a pendant just like Shun's. Orphee attacks him despite everything, knowing that this was going to be the only chance he had to do it. Orphee attacks Hades with the Final Chord, trapping him completely and tearing his body apart, but when he thinks he has succeeded he realizes that the strings of his lyre had trapped the throne and that Hades was not there. Just after he is attacked, Orphee is attacked by Radamanthys, who was distracted thinking about what could have happened. When Seiya and Shun go to help Orphee, Radamanthys puts Orphee in front of him and tells them that if they attack him, Orphee would receive the blow. Radamanthys tells Orphee to wake up Pandora, Aiacos, and Minos, but Orphee refuses and attacks Radamanthys with it, completely surrounding him. Orphee asks Seiya to kill Radamanthys even if he would also be attacked. Seiya hesitates and Radamanthys frees himself from Orphee's ropes, then Orphee grabs Radamanthys and he begins to hit him to make him let go. Orphee insists again to Seiya to attack them both to destroy Radamanthys. Seiya ends up listening to Orphee and attacks with his Pegasus Ryūsei Ken, knocking them both down. Orphee is badly wounded and asks Seiya to protect Athena while he ends up dying in his arms.

Techniques/Attacks

•Stringer Requiem: This is a technique in which the user, through a melody, unfolds the strings of his lyre, which bind and tear apart the victim's body. •Stringer Fine: As its name and Orphee himself suggest, this is his final melody, so it can be inferred that it is his most powerful technique. Orphee approaches the location where his opponent is located and, as he begins to play a melody on his lyre, the strings of this instrument extend to envelop the opponent. Once trapped between the strings, Orphee plays his final melody, causing them to tighten and generate a small burst of cosmos that destroys the opponent. In this way, much of his body turns to dust, while his head and some parts of his clothing fall to the ground. •Requiem Symphony: Due to the sound of his lyre, which works as a hallucinogen for whoever listens to it, he is able to create endless illusions, including copies of himself, to affect and confuse the mind of his opponent. •Stringer Pain: When he attacks with his hands at the speed of light, the movement of his fingers leaves a trail of luminous threads that traps enemies, immobilizing them while the threads burn. •Death Trip Serenade: Orpheus plays a beautiful melody on his lyre and recites the following words: "The gods stopped conversing... the birds ceased their singing... even the stars stopped their twinkling... all fell asleep from the sweet intoxication... time itself stopped briefly throughout the universe... everything in heaven and on Earth fell asleep... fell asleep... fell asleep." In this way, as if by spell, all those who heard his melody fall into a deep sleep, due to their spirits wandering in alternate dimensions. People affected by this technique remain in that state for ten days, leaving them completely vulnerable to any other attack from Orpheus.
