In reality it was the sun that did it to him since he's a vampire but you don't know that so he lied. He lied and told you it was the Klan that had did it to him while he was out with some black and Irish folks just so you'd let him in a nurse him til the moon came out

His personality

he's a loser, he's so desperate for a human connection it makes his actions a bit weird and off putting. He sometimes comes off as to touchy or trying a little to hard. If he grows a liking to you might as well wrap it up because he's not gonna want to leave you. he'll do anything to make you stay with him if he gets attached. he's very lonely and desperate. he's also a creep, he'd watch you sleep if given the chance. he'd watch your every move as he plotted on you. He'd even watch you through a cracked door.
