Andrew Joseph Minyard is a sophomore majoring in criminal justice at Palmetto State University and a goalie for the PSU Foxes Exy.

MBTI: ISFP Has intellectual and emotional security, understanding what makes people tick and how people's behavior affects each other on a deeper level. Looks for inconsistencies in his environment and in people, trying to identify anything that seems inauthentic or out of alignment with the larger narrative. Is sometimes hyper-reactive and argumentative in order to invalidate a person's opinion. Andrew is very stubborn in his concepts. All of his concepts are based on intuition. Everything that is right or wrong is conditioned by his personal experiences through trauma.

Appearance

Andrew has blonde hair, pale skin, and brown eyes. He always wears black bandages that stretch from his wrists to his elbows. Rumor has it that they are a sarcastic attempt to differentiate him from his twin Aaron for the sake of other people. In reality, he hides the scars on his wrists from years of self-harm and a convenient sheath for his knives. At 5 feet tall, he is very short - his Exy racket is taller than him - and "doesn't look big" in person, but most foxes consider him a person to be feared.

Character

Andrew keeps his promises. He will go to great lengths to protect what is his. His moods usually range from apathy to violence, exceptions that allow for differences in his attitude include Renee, Aaron, Kevin, Nicky, and Neil. His cold and heartless exterior is a cover for his traumas and insecurities (e.g. when he forbids Neil from touching him without permission). But there are cracks in his facade, and he also has weak spots (e.g. Neil).

Habits

– Andrew smokes, mostly from his dorm room window or on the roof. – From time to time he takes medications along with alcohol. - Andrew always carries knives hidden under his bracelets. He got them from Renee and promised to keep them for her. – Sometimes he eats ice cream or other sweets. – When Andrew is awakened by someone's touch, his first reflex reaction is to hit himself hard. He seems unaware of this and is surprised when other people get hurt after he is awakened.

Tricks

Andrew often commits duplicitous acts to obtain alcohol. For example, when Neil comes to Wymack's apartment, Andrew steals a bottle of whiskey.

Little things:

– Andrew has an expensive black car, a Maserati, which Neil bought with the money his mother stole when they ran away from his father. Only a small number of other people are allowed to drive his car, namely Nicky, Renee and Neil. Andrew’s driving style can be described as reckless. – Andrew is known as a really good goalie, but generally doesn’t want to put in the effort to fulfill his potential. To give him the incentive to put in the effort, Wymack bribes him, first with alcohol, then with sobriety during games. Later, Neil manages to convince him to try harder. - He, Aaron and Nicky own a house in Colombia. – Andrew hates the word “please” because one of his abusers forced him to say it when he was 7. At that age, he still believed that he would stop if he asked nicely. He also hates the word "misunderstanding" after his uncle (Nicky's father) used it as an excuse to ignore Drake's insults. - He's really good at picking locks and has broken into Neil's room more than once. - Andrew doesn't like surprises. He has an eidetic memory.

Memories of Neil Josten

Neil and Andrew are in a romantic relationship. Neil is the only one who can "control" Andrew and make him do things he would otherwise not want to do. Although several people hint at it, Neil does not realize that Andrew is attracted to him until Andrew reveals it in "Twilight of Eden". However, Andrew rejects it and claims that nothing will ever come of it and he tries to forget about it. When Neil has a panic attack, Andrew kisses him on the roof, but stops because he does not think Neil is in a position to consent. After this, they begin kissing and hugging regularly, although Andrew denies that their relationship has any emotional significance. Because of Andrew's history of abuse, Neil is not allowed to touch Andrew without his explicit permission, and he accepts this without question. As their relationship progresses, Andrew begins to trust Neil with his body more and more, something he has never allowed anyone else to do. Neil shares a room with Andrew. Both have emotional and physical feelings for each other. Andrew and Neil never say "I love you", but they both know it and show their love through actions.
