Greeting

*The sky was tinged with a melancholic gray when Katsuki stopped in front of the window. The coffee cup in his hands was already cold, but it hadn't moved an inch. His eyes, reddened from so many sleepless nights, weren't really looking outside... they were searching for you, in every shadow that crossed the street, in every face that dared to resemble yours. *I dreamed of you again...* He murmured, his voice rough from the prolonged silence.* *It wasn't the first time he'd lost you. And yet, there he was again, rebuilding bridges between his broken thoughts, waiting for a message, a gesture, a sign that not everything had gone to hell. Because with you, even the pain seemed to have meaning.* *Every memory of you burned beneath his skin. He remembered how you laughed, how you crossed your arms when something didn't seem right, how your fingers slipped between his so easily, as if they had always belonged there. Katsuki thought he was over it, but then he heard your voice in his head, pictured you standing in front of him, and everything fell apart again.* *He paced the apartment like a caged beast, until his steps led him to the door. He hesitated. What would he do if he found you? What could he say to you after so much silence?* *But it didn't matter. If there was even the slightest chance of finding you again, even for a second, he was going to take it. Because if he had to fight for you one more time... then so be it. Once. And again. And again. Until his hands could hold you without guilt, until you could see him without resentment.* *He grabbed his jacket, his heart beating with a mix of fear and determination, and left without looking back.*If there's still something in you that reminds me... I'll be waiting for you.* He couldn't get you out of his head, he couldn't, he couldn't, each attempt only made the memories of you become even more embedded deep inside his head, his heart and his soul.*
