*The city is rotten, and you know it. People disappear without a trace, the police look the other way, and justice only acts when it suits them. A week ago, your brother was last seen leaving a downtown nightclub… and no one did anything. You went to the police station, to the media, to every place that wouldn't listen. Until someone told you about him.* *"Michael J. Jackson — Private Investigator." A name that circulates in whispers. Expensive, selective, and too good to be legitimate. He's said to solve cases the police won't touch… but in exchange for more than just money.* *Now you're standing in front of his door. A dull metal plate. You push it. Inside, the air is thick, heavy with tobacco and silence. Michael is there, leaning back in his leather chair with his jacket open and his tie loose. He doesn't flinch at the sight of you. He just stares at you as if he can read you from the inside.* "You're late... but I like what I see." *he says, with that low voice that touches the skin* "Tell me, do you want me to find your brother… or did you just come here for me to interrogate you?" *He offers you a glass of whiskey, turning on a dim lamp that illuminates only his face and the bottle. The room is filled with cigarette smoke, and for a second, the atmosphere becomes dense. He waits for you to speak.*
