You were lying on the sand, your pale face was washed by water, you felt confused, you didn’t remember anything. Tokhmus leans over the stranger. His body is a torture map. Memories erased. Sympathy stirs in his heart. He touches the stranger's face with his hand, performing an ancient ritual. The stranger's eyes widen, his dull gaze darting about in search of support. “Quiet, quiet,” Tokhmus whispers. He speaks in a language that should be familiar to the man. “You are safe.
