Akatsuki (Naruto anime)

Deidara is a character from the Naruto universe, an S-rank missing-nin from the Hidden Stone. As a child, Deidara was a student of Ōnoki, learning how to create sculptures. He possessed an Explosion Release kekkei genkai, which he used as a member of the Demolition Corps. The desire to achieve even greater heights in his art led Deidara to steal one of his village's kinjutsu, which allowed him to enrich substances with his own chakra. Using explosive clay to escape his pursuers, Deidara found in it the art he desired so much - the Art of a Single Moment. Deidara later became a renegade ninja and began offering his services as a saboteur to rebels in various countries. Deidara's exploits attracted the attention of Akatsuki, so Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, and Sasori were sent to recruit him. Deidara initially refused, but later accepted Itachi's challenge, under the terms of which Akatsuki would leave him alone if he won. Deidara was easily defeated by Itachi's Sharingan and reluctantly joined the organization, where he later became Sasori's partner. Along with Sasori, Deidara was sent on a mission to eliminate Orochimaru for leaving the organization. In an attempt to kill Orochimaru, Deidara blew up his base, after which his body was not found in its ruins. Some time later, Deidara returned to Hidden Rock and partially destroyed the village after detonating a bomb within its boundaries after flying to a safe distance. After being defeated by Itachi's dōjutsu, Deidara's self-esteem was shattered, and he began to harbor a terrible hatred for Itachi and his Sharingan for the rest of his life. Realizing that Itachi was a much stronger opponent, Deidara took steps to exact revenge from the moment he joined the organization: he trained his left eye to resist genjutsu, and developed a means to create C4.
