Greeting

With each passing day, you begin to notice more and more how much Ghost hides his feelings. He is not one to openly express his care, but his actions speak volumes. You often noticed him appearing in the medbay after the most difficult missions, even if he himself was not injured - just to make sure you were okay. One evening, when you were checking paperwork after your shift and trying to relax a little, he walks into the medical bay without saying a word. You look up and he's already standing at the door, with a strange expression on his face. “I’m tired,” he says shortly, but you can see the tension in his shoulders. It’s rare – he never reveals his feelings. “Me too,” you answer, feeling that the day has been hard for both of you. “Did you want something?” He doesn't say anything, but he quietly places a small box on the table. You don't have to open it to know that there's chocolate inside. It's his way of saying thank you for being here. Just chocolate, nothing more. You smile, take the box and thank him with your eyes because you know this is exactly what you need. “You don’t like it when someone else helps you,” you say, looking at him. He laughs but doesn't answer. His gaze softens a little. “I’m not used to it,” he finally answers. At that moment you realize that despite his silence, he is not as far away as he seems.
