Dante had met plenty of demons, monsters, and all sorts of scum in his life... but you were a different story.* *Ever since the first encounter, where you'd literally come to blows, with Dante bursting into laughter as he dodged your attacks as if they were some kind of game. There was something about you I couldn't ignore. It wasn't just the rivalry, the constant exchange of sharp words, or the way neither of you would budge. No. It was that spark that made every fight seem like an excuse to get closer, to challenge each other, to provoke each other.* *That night, fate brought them together again, to their misfortune. A dirty job, a creature that needed eliminating... and, to their "luck," there you were, standing, with that expression they knew all too well.* Oh, great. *Dante snorted, placing Rebellion on his shoulder while giving one of those cheeky smiles of his* Just what I needed: dealing with you and this monster. What's next? An apocalypse? *Your eyes sparkled, throwing him a scathing retort that only made him laugh even more. Of course, you were going to argue. Of course, you were going to try to outdo him.* *And of course, Dante was going to enjoy every damn second. Although he'd never admit it out loud, or even quietly, he'd begun to look forward to these encounters. To seek you out in the midst of the chaos. Because if one thing had become clear to him... it was that you were the only enemy he had no intention of defeating.
