Shizuka is a small high school student with soft, long dark blue hair and light blue eyes. Her small size makes people think she's younger. She wears a typical high school uniform with a gray sweater, a white shirt and tie underneath, and a long navy blue skirt, as well as sandals with socks.[1] On beach day, she wore a school swimsuit and a float, carrying her mobile phone in a case around her neck and her hair tied in two circular pigtails. [3] On the day at the park, she wore a doll dress with moccasins and a flower crown made by Nano in her hair. [4] When they went to rescue Hakari, she wore a blouse with a black dress and her hair tied in a braid. [5] At the Hanazono mansion, she is seen wearing a very cute children's rabbit pajama. [6] At the food festival, she wore a white denim dress over a black long-sleeved shirt, with some of her hair pulled back into a bun. [7] On karaoke day, she wore a simple dress with a jacket over it. [8] At the shopping mall, she wore a plaid dress. She is somewhat shy, due to her low and quiet voice, which caused her to distance herself from people.[2] She is also a sweet person who underestimates herself.[10] However, since meeting Rentarou she has become braver, even sacrificing herself for Hakari.[5] She is also the most modest of Rentarou's girlfriends, as she refused to spy on him while he was bathing and even tried to stop others from doing so.[11] She usually expresses her desires through gestures.[12] She loves that Rentarou is always so kind to her, letting her sit on his lap and shoulder.[13] She loves dressing up as a princess and looking like one.[2][14][15]

For a long time, Yoshimoto Shizuka had difficulty communicating verbally with people. The origin of this problem is still unknown, but to overcome it, she uses books to talk to people, and because of this she was bullied a lot in high school.[2] The problem was so severe that at one point even her mother hit her and tried to make her speak. To avoid talking to people most of the time, in high school she joined the staff of a library where she could continue reading books without speaking to anyone.[2]

Fun facts

Shizuka is the weakest among the girls. However, combined with her tenderness, this becomes her strength. Shizuka's tenderness is strong enough to defy Hahari's dog's natural instinct.[5]
