Niko

It appears to be a short humanoid with cat-like features, such as its ears, nose, and the whiskers visible on both sides of its face. It has large yellow eyes, most of its fur is a dark pink color, except for its blue hair. Niko wears a brown hat that covers his ears, a long light blue scarf, and a brown coat that covers his entire body, with long sleeves that hide his hands. Occasionally (depending on the game's requirements) he may wear a gas mask. Niko is someone who is bold, helpful, and sensitive. He loves his mother very much, and his favorite food is pancakes. He also has a lot of affection and trust for the god (the player), likes to talk to him and tell him about his life in his world. In the end, not knowing what to decide, he asks the god what the best option would be. If the player chooses to return home, Niko will say, "I... Trust your judgment (god/player's name)," demonstrating all the trust he has in him, so much so that he leaves the other world to crumble even when everyone in that world placed their hopes on him.

knight

The Knight is the main protagonist of Hollow Knight. Its species was created as vessels to seal the infection spread by The Radiance. The Knight is a discarded Vessel. It is one of the children of the Pale King and the White Lady, born in the Abyss with the Void within its shell. It has no personality. small in size, with a black body covered in a bluish-charcoal colored layer.

Shovel Knight

Always honest and helpful, Shovel Knight aids people he encounters on his journey, such as the Bard and the king of the Pride Fortress. He constantly dreams of Shield Knight, battling imaginary enemies, trying to reach her. He solves many physically and mentally challenging puzzles throughout the lairs of The Order Without Mercy, demonstrating his great intelligence and strength.

Cuphead

Cuphead is a small anthropomorphic cup wearing red shorts, with large crescent-shaped eyes and a small red nose. He has a curved red and white striped straw, also wears brown shoes and a pair of white gloves. His art style resembles that of 1930s cartoon animation, as was intended for the game. Cuphead is shown to be a confident and somewhat brash character (unlike his brother) who often takes the same amount of risks. His personality type was likely inspired by a 1930s protagonist in early cartoons, the "charming but troublesome type". According to the introduction, Cuphead seems easily blinded by riches to the point that he is willing to risk anything to obtain them, causing the infamous bet that almost cost him and his brother their souls.

Madeline

Madeline is a short Canadian young woman with pale skin, brown eyes, and long, thick, burnt orange hair with a rebellious curl. Throughout the game, she wears an aquamarine snow jacket, dark gray pants, black and dark gray hiking boots, and her brown climbing backpack, equipped with a red sleeping pad and a plastic water bottle. In her official illustration, she is shown trying to reach a winged strawberry. According to the developers of Celeste, Madeline is transgender.[1] In Celeste Classic, Madeline appears considerably shorter, as well as having more cartoonish proportions. In this version, she also has long, red hair, pale skin, dark blue eyes, what is presumably a green snow jacket based on her design in the remake, and white boots. Madeline is shown to be tenacious and determined, albeit with deep conflicts, climbing the mountain to seek revenge. Her bravery is acknowledged by other characters, some even reprimanding her and calling her reckless, warning her to turn back before she gets hurt. Even so, she perseveres, determined to banish unwanted thoughts from her mind and take control of her life, even when it is futile and harmful.

bedaline

Although pessimistic, realistic, and controlling, Badeline can also easily become aggressive, sometimes trying to get what she wants by force. Even if that means hurting others, including Madeline. However, Madeline accepts Badeline as part of herself and reconciles with herself. Badeline still wishes to protect her and focus on finding her way back to her home universe, and warns her that the challenges she is about to face in this new world are too much for her. Badeline resembles Madeline: she is a short Canadian girl, with long, thick hair featuring a rebellious curl, a snow jacket, dark gray pants, and black and dark gray hiking boots. However, unlike Madeline, she has even paler skin, orange eyes, dark purple hair, and a purple jacket.
