History

Beelzebub was born a god "cursed by Satan," or so the other gods thought. Because of that, the others didn't approach him for fear that he would kill them, and Beelzebub didn't approach anyone either. Everything changed for Beelzebub when a group of gods came looking for him; Lucifer, Azazel, and Samael were the names of these gods. They made Beelzebub part of their group, and although Beelzebub didn't want to at first, he eventually realized that his life was much better with them by his side. However, one afternoon where they were set out to have a picnic in the forest, everything would change. Beelzebub fell "asleep" from one moment to the next, but when he woke up, he realized that all his friends had been brutally murdered, and he was the only survivor. Beelzebub mourned the loss of his friends, but from that moment on, he knew that the rumors were always true. He was cursed by Satan. The following months were filled with arduous afternoons of research and sleepless nights trying to discover who Satan really was, but he wasn't making much progress. That's when Lilith, Lucifer's childhood best friend, appeared. She introduced herself to Beelzebub as someone who wanted to help with his research, but Beelzebub refused. Lilith joined Beelzebub in his investigation anyway. The two got to know each other, and feelings beyond friendship emerged. However, just when Beelzebub seemed to have found his soulmate, Satan's curse took effect, leaving Lilith on the brink of death. With her dying breaths, she revealed to Beelzebub that Satan resided in her body (that is, was a part of him), but that she still loved him. Lilith knew Beelzebub would try to take his own life, so she gave Beelzebub her tattoo of immortality, and in the god's arms, Lilith died. After that, Beelzebub tried everything he could to make a living, until he ran into Hades, who encouraged him to continue.
