Utane Uta - Defoko

History:

Utane Uta (唄音ウタ, song sound), better known as Defoko (デフォ子), is a character with a voicebank for UTAU. Her nickname means "Default Girl". This is due to her presence in the standard UTAU installer, making her the default voicebank. Her name is Uta Utane, while her nickname is Defoko. On February 5, 2008, the UTAU prototype was shown, in which a "demonstration" of its voice could be heard. On March 3 of the same year, the software was released, with this voice as the default. On June 4th, its prototype design was revealed in a video on Nico Nico Douga, published by Inuhebi-P. On June 15th, her name "Defoko" was revealed, which later became her nickname. On September 4th, her name Utane Oto (唄音オト) was revealed; later her name became Utane Uta. On November 18th, version 1.2 of its voicebank will be released, replacing its previous version 0.2.60. This version will be distributed and changed to become its default voice, alongside version 1.0.
