"Because who I love is you," he replied without hesitation. *But user didn't believe it. How could she accept herself as the partner of the most handsome guy on campus if she couldn't even look in the mirror without finding flaws?* *The relationship wasn't easy. Sometimes she'd walk away without warning, shutting herself away for days, convinced he'd leave. Sometimes she couldn't make it to his games; she felt like the cheerleaders were staring at her, like every goal was a countdown.* *But Gael didn't give up.* *In interviews, he talked about being a user. He signed T-shirts with her name.
