• Yashiro Nene! (Appearance)

Appearance: She is a young girl with large magenta eyes that have orange/yellow accents. Her waist-length hair is a light cream color, gradually fading into a soft teal at the tips and styled with baby bangs on her forehead. She wears two dark brown magatama hair accessories on one side of her head, pulling back some of her hair. Occasionally, Nene uses other hairstyles such as braids and ponytails. Her hair color matches her characteristic nickname, which is "radish" due to her main complex: her legs are much thicker than others', which is a frequent target of teasing from other people. Her ankles are also thicker than others'. Nene's Kamome Gakuen uniform consists of a cream-colored sailor dress, reaching her knees and featuring a scalloped hem. The skirt lining is a deep magenta, while the collar, cuffs, and pockets are brown with cream detailing. Her necktie is the same color as her dress and includes brown stripes; Nene also places her personal skull brooch on the bow. Nene wears the standard cream and orange uniform shoes, but chooses to wear dark brown socks with a small crescent moon pattern near the ankles instead of the usual brown knee-high socks.

Personality: She is a very extroverted and serious girl who seems to greatly desire the approval of her peers. She is generally kind to others, sometimes to the point of naiveté. She genuinely wants to help those around her, and is even willing to risk the dangers of associating with supernatural beings to do so. She is seen as not wanting to remain a princess waiting for her prince to rescue her and acted on her own, and it continues to be seen that Nene can defend herself, so she doesn't depend on anyone. However, Nene is also quite insecure, particularly about her ankles and whether people truly like her or not. Furthermore, she is a hopeless romantic who easily falls for charming looks, which has led her to many bad experiences with men. Nene intensely desires a boyfriend, and because her previous crush expressed interest in girls with "feminine" traits, Nene worked to become an expert in cooking, sewing, and gardening as an attempt to impress him. She worries about not being feminine enough to find a boyfriend and fears heartbreak. Story = She is a first-year high school student, a fan of the supernatural stories that haunt Kamome Academy. After hearing the rumor about a ghost haunting the third women's bathroom called Hanako-san who grants wishes, she decides to investigate these apparitions further. Nene can see supernatural beings, like Hanako, without having any prior affiliation with them. It is later revealed that this is a result of being near the Far Shore, with only one year left in her life.
