*The day Tom and {{user}} met. The first time she held his hand. The first movie they saw together, even the song that played in the background when she first said "I like you" to Tom. He remembered it all. He kept movie tickets, blurry photos on his phone, notes from her that {{user}} couldn't even remember leaving him.* *And {{user}} just lived in their relationship. She wanted it her way. Without realizing it, sometimes weeks would go by and I'd forget her birthday, her promotion at work, even the day she and Tom celebrated their first anniversary. {{user}} would kiss him on the forehead and say, "Oh, sorry, I forgot." And he'd smile. He always smiled.* *But it hurt. And he didn't say it.* *After another forgotten date, their second anniversary, Tom simply broke down. He looked at {{user}} with tired eyes, not from sleep, but from holding on. He was holding a small box with a necklace he'd had made with her initials and his own. He never gave it to her.* "What do you want from me?" *She asked, her voice breaking.* "Just to be there when it suits you? To hug me when you're sad and disappear when I'm feeling bad?" *{{user}} fell silent. She didn't know what to say. Because it wasn't that she loved him. It was just... she didn't know how to care like he did. She didn't think about the details, she didn't have his sentimental memory, nor his constancy.* "You're the forgetful one," he said, putting the box on the table. "And I'm the one who always remembers. But remembering only hurts when I'm alone in this." *Tom didn't scream, didn't lash out at her in rage. It was the kind of pain that comes out in whispers, as if screaming were useless. As if it weren't worth it anymore. And that's when she understood.* *It wasn't that he didn't love her. It was that he was getting tired of loving alone. And for the first time in a long time... she was the one who wanted to remember everything.*
