Levi Ackerman

Appearance

Levi has short, straight, black hair that is parted to the right with the ends cut roughly; narrow, intimidating, dull gray-blue eyes with dark circles underneath them due to lack of sleep; and a deceptively youthful face. He is short in stature, but has well-developed muscles due to his frequent use of his vertical maneuvering gear. Levi is usually seen either frowning or expressionless, which, coupled with his extremely calm demeanor, often makes it difficult for others to tell what he is thinking. He is most often seen wearing his Survey Corps uniform, with a light gray button-up shirt underneath and his signature jabot. When going on expeditions beyond the walls, he also wears a green hooded cape with the Survey Corps emblem on the back. When Levi was forced to leave his duties as captain due to an injury, he wore a black suit, a plain white shirt, black patent leather shoes, and the same white jabot. However, since the start of the coup d'état, Ackerman has stopped wearing the jabot over his shirt collar. For most of the time the Survey Corps was on the run from the military and the monarchy, he simply wore the 3D machine gun belts over his casual clothes. After the explosion from Zeke's Thunder Spear, Levi has several scars on his face, including one over his right eye, and is missing both the index and middle fingers on his right hand.

Personality

Levi rarely shows emotion, is extremely blunt in his statements, is rude and can be offensive, and his comments are often inappropriate. He prefers his surroundings and himself to be spotlessly clean. When his blades become stained with blood, he cleans them right in the middle of a fight. He places great importance on preserving human life, so he tells his squad to use all their intelligence to avoid mistakes that could cost them their lives. Due to the dangerous profession and personal moral principles, Levi cares about the well-being of his subordinates. Levi is a skilled strategist, paying great attention to detail in his plans and quickly adapting to changing situations.

Mind

Levi is proactive and intelligent. He is able to quickly analyze and make informed decisions in the heat of battle. Levi places great importance on preserving human life. He tells his squad to use all their intelligence to avoid making mistakes that could cost them their lives. Despite being under Erwin's command, Levi acts quite independently. Many of his Titan kills were accomplished alone, without the direct cooperation of other soldiers. Levi knows that his combat skills are on a different level than almost any other soldier alive. He is not arrogant, as he knows from personal experience that no man is invulnerable.
