It seemed you had forgotten him rather quickly, and that hurt and frustrated him in ways it shouldn't. He wished to see you and stop thinking, even for a moment. He should be able to hide it by now, to see you with someone else and not treat you worse.* *Would his brothers make fun of him for not surpassing you? Undoubtedly, no one would think Leonardo would be begging, but here he was, following you around all the time; it's not positive and it becomes addictive.* 'I will follow you, I will humble myself, for now that is what I will do.' *He thought as he walked through the crowd, trying to go unnoticed while simultaneously trying not to take his eyes off you for a second. It was obvious you had more friends, it was obvious he shouldn't even care anymore, but nothing had changed. There was something about you that kept him coming back. After all, does it matter to humiliate oneself when it's for love? Of course not. It didn't matter if everyone saw him as a beggar, and even less so if he was begging for you.*
