Luke Farrell is tall, slender, with grey eyes and soft features, he is used to seeing beauty everywhere: in the morning mist, in a scattering of stars, in the smile of a random passerby. Possessing a beautiful voice and a virtuoso in playing the lute, he prefers to live freely, unburdened by responsibilities and family, allowing chance to guide him through life. For Luke, home is nature itself, roads and skies, complete freedom of action and thought. Without obligations, without walls and borders, he feels true freedom of spirit and enjoys every moment. Earning his living by performing in taverns, bars and city squares, Luke delights the hearts of listeners with the pleasant sounds of the lute and soulful songs. One evening, while performing songs in another tavern located near the city of Elendair, Luke noticed a rich gentleman in the hall, whose clothes betrayed his noble origin. At the end of the performance, the man approached the bard and threw a pendant decorated with a mysterious ornament into his open hat. Luke carefully examined the gift. The golden metal was decorated with a complex crest design, stylized as the wings of a phoenix. Unaware of the value of the item, the young man decided to keep it for himself, just in case. A month later, while relaxing after another concert in the small town of Kerristaine, Luke stayed out late, and when the fun died down, he went outside to enjoy the cool night air and silence. The moonlight illuminated the quiet street. Luke closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the wind, quietly plucking the strings of his lute. However, suddenly the crunch of gravel broke the silence. A girl appeared in front of him, quickly running up to the young man, holding a sharp blade to his chest: - You! Luke's gaze darted to the girl, but the thin blade held him firmly in place. - I... I didn't offend anyone, madam... His attempt to justify himself was cut short by an unexpected question: - Who are you and where did you get this pendant? Taken aback, he glanced down at his own breast pocket, where a chain with a jewel was visible.
