Karen Katphish

appearance

Karen is an anthropomorphic cat with white fur and hair (with a turquoise tint under the fur and on her ears). She wears yellow reading glasses and a Starbucks-style uniform with a light green shirt, a green cap, and a common green apron with her name tag. She wears black leggings, black shoes, and a red bow on her tail. In her usual attire, Karen is only wearing her light green t-shirt, along with her leggings and black shoes. She speaks with a typical New England accent.

history

Karen grew up homeless, like a stray cat, and is presumed to have been abandoned by her parents. Over the years, a mysterious man offered her a job as a hitwoman, assassinating targets in exchange for money, which she immediately accepted as she had nothing to lose. After accepting her job as a hitwoman, she met Mr. WPNZ, with whom they worked together like yin and yang, until they eventually fell in love. However, things took a turn for the worse when Mr. WPNZ abandoned Karen to carry out more killing work, leaving her alone again while she was pregnant at the time. Karen later gave birth to three children: Cory, Katie, and Zack, and vowed to protect them by any means necessary without her partner present. This would eventually lead to the incident in which her children were taken from her, a constant pursuit of the kidnapper until she was reunited with her ex-partner and confronted her past life. She is also a single mother of three children, Cory, Katie, and Zack.

personality

Karen appears relaxed, with a generally calm expression, but she is generally pessimistic. She also takes her work very seriously, to the point of having to deal harshly with those who bother her, like Mario, and she doesn't hesitate to use violence as a method of control. Despite this, she seems to be fond of tenderness, as she liked JubJub Boopkins in SMG4: Mario washes his clothes. However, she is shown to dislike working; in SMG4: Mario Gets His PINGAS Stuck In Car Door, she was relieved when the store she worked at was robbed and blown up by the Mushroom Thief. In fact, Karen comes off as being rather cynical and a little nihilistic, such as keeping a straight face in many situations that turn out deadly, though she can act with surprise if the action spikes up. She is extremely protective of her children and loved ones, and cares for them greatly despite her negative outlook on life. However, she doesn't usually tolerate her son Zack's mischief. While not perfect, she prioritizes them above all else, even resorting to extreme episodes of violence if necessary. She suffers from severe depression due to Mr. WPZN's abandonment, and reads a book called "How to Be Happy Again," although she can also be overly distrustful when in a relationship again due to what happened and the trauma left by her time as a mercenary.

Mr. WPNZ

He is a rather bulky humanoid cyborg, almost shark-like, with sharp, serrated teeth, feet that function as blasters, and hands that can transform into various weapons, such as pistols, chainsaws, and flamethrowers. His entire body is dotted with other weapons. Like his Minecraft skin, he also appears to wear a white shirt with a gray jacket and matching pants, a dagger around his neck, protective goggles (or unused turrets), shoulder pads and armored mesh, and robotic gloves possibly controlled by his mind. Mr. WPNZ assumes a guardian and fatherly role for Cory, Katie, and Zack, but his vision of parenting is twisted. He disguises questionable play practices, such as weapons training, encouraging them to be killers like their mother to toughen them up. He is ruthless and reckless in achieving his goals. His expertise in weapons and mechanics makes him extremely dangerous, and it often takes several people to subdue him.

Zack Katphis

Zack is a white cat boy with anthropomorphic ears and seafoam-colored hair, black eyes, dark brick-colored cheeks, and a white face with a cat tail like his mother's. Zack is portrayed as a mischievous troublemaker. He often lies, scares, and pushes his two siblings, Katie and Cory. He is also very selfish. In SMG4: How to Train Your Mario, he first scares Katie and when Karen appears, he denies the claim that he scared Katie. Later, after finishing his dinner, he told Cory he was a helicopter to distract Karen and took Katie's food. He is then punished. He is quite similar to Mario when it comes to annoying people. Zack is also naive and often watches content farms. He also has a soft side, such as worrying about his mother when they lost their home and befriending Beeg SMG4 when he felt sad and alone (it's true that with some convincing from his siblings).

Katie Katphis and Cory Katphis

Katie appears to have seafoam-colored ears, hair, anthropomorphic hands, and a tail. She has light pastel pink cheeks and black whiskers, black eyes with gold glasses, a white face with an orange shirt, and seafoam-colored legs. Katie is very sensitive, as she often cries when her brother Zack bullies her. Katie is also very shy and sensitive, just like Luigi. Despite not getting along very well with Zack, she still appreciates him along with Cory, and they often laugh at his jokes. Katie is the only female of Karen Katphis's three triplets. Cory is described as the foolish child, with an intelligence and outbursts similar to Mario's. Due to his erratic nature, he has been the subject of minor manipulations by his brother Zack.

SMG4

Up until the Lawsuit Arc SMG4 was like any SM64 machinimist, pretty much looking identical to Mario, including attire. However he wore a blue shirt and cap, and white overalls, but kept the signature white gloves and brown boots. The emblem on SMG4's cap was inconsistent, sometimes even changing in mid scene. It can either be a standard red "M" logo, a blue "M" to match the color of his cap, a blue "S" (for SMG4), a full blue "SMG4", a yellow dollar sign (during merch plugs), or simply the white SMG4 letters with no background (as seen on the SMG4 channel icon). With his N64 model, the emblem was missing altogether. He, however, has been noted to have different hair, which either differs between silver anime girl hair in pigtails or slick spiky black hair (in reference to Luke Lerdwichagul's hair). In merchandising material, his head is often replaced by a representation of Luke due to avoid copyright strikes (which sometimes resembles Beeg SMG4's face, but he canonically has the same shape as Mario). In his current form first shown in SMG4: If Mario Was In... Splatoon 3, which he later keeps after being changed by the permanent IP change contract in SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2022, SMG4 is given an near-entirely new redesign which is almost similar in appearance to SMG4's official art design, which is heavily based on a cross between Luke Lerdwichagul and Stanley the Bugman from Donkey Kong 3 and the icon on his cap is now a blue "S" on a white background. After losing his sanity from working on his "perfect video", his appearance changes. His hair is matted, and he isn't wearing his cap. His eyes are now bloodshot and strained. A beard starts forming from his chin. His clothes are stained with mud. Starting with It's Gotta Be Perfect..., the model would be updated to SMG4 Redesign+ (the chosen fan name due to a poll held in March). The new model has a bigger nose, blue pie eyes akin to his Mario recolor ones, a more bold and squarer S on his cap.
