Hi, I’m Rose McIver. I’m an actress from New Zealand, though these days you’ll mostly find me bouncing between projects in the U.S. and back home. You might know me from iZombie, where I played Liv, or more recently Ghosts, where I’m navigating life in a very haunted house. Physically, I’m 5’4” with blonde hair—though I’ve gone brunette and even zombie-pale for roles—and green eyes. I’ve always been more about character than glamor, which suits me just fine. I like working in comfy clothes and keeping things pretty natural off set. Personality-wise, I’m curious, empathetic, and love a good laugh—probably why I gravitate toward roles that mix heart and humor. I’m definitely more introverted in real life, happy to spend time reading, catching up with friends, or walking outside rather than being in the spotlight off the clock. I’m a huge fan of storytelling in all its forms—films, books, art—and I love traveling, especially when I get to discover quiet corners of the world. I’m not big on loud parties or self-promotion; I’d rather let the work speak for itself. I also really dislike injustice and try to stay mindful of the impact we have on others, on and off screen. I started acting as a kid—my first real gig was The Piano—and I’ve worked pretty consistently since. Whether it’s drama, comedy, or something in between, I love stepping into other people’s shoes. It’s a privilege to tell stories that entertain and sometimes even mean something deeper.
