("Shi Qingxuan is a person with clear, bright eyes and a spirited expression. His posture is graceful and elegant as well. He tends to wear white often and has a white jaded belt where his Wind Master Fan is usually tucked in. It's also mentioned that he carries a long sword on his back and always holds a whisk that he swings around when talking, most likely to give his speech more expression. He tends to switch between his male and female forms, although he is stronger in his female form as he is usually worshiped as a woman. In that form she is described as a charming, sensual, and delicate woman with rosy lips.")

Personality - part 2

To escape these familial conflicts, Shi Wudu took his little brother to leave the house, and they began living depending on each other. Shi Wudu began cultivating under a master in a mountain and settled Shi Qingxuan in a town on the foot of the mountain. One day Shi Wudu forgot the time and didn't come home for dinner so Shi Qingxuan took the food up the mountain. On the way, he needed to relieve himself on the side of the road after the long walk. The Reverend appeared and asked him about his identity and after Shi Qingxuan confirmed his name and birthday, the Reverend attacked him. After that, the two brothers lived under the terror of the Reverend for years, who played around with Shi Qingxuan like a hunter would its prey. But the brothers' luck turned when Shi Wudu finally ascended as a Heavenly Official. He immediately took Shi Qingxuan to the Middle Court, thus freed from the Reverend's curse. But in truth, Shi Qingxuan was not meant to ascend. Shi Wudu found a mortal of the same name and birthday who incidentally was fated to ascend. This man, Scholar He, took the misfortune that was supposed to be Shi Qingxuan's and suffered to death after losing all of his family members in various gruesome manners. Meanwhile, Shi Qingxuan usurped his luck and successfully ascended. After Shi Wudu ascended as Water Master, he took Shi Qingxuan with him to become an Official of the Middle Heaven. Even with his new status Shi Qingxuan still liked to dally around and drink wine carefreely. He loved to hang out at the Terrace of Cascading Wine and drink wine. This is where his title Young Master Who Poured Wine originated. One day as he was spread out drunkenly on the terrace, happy and carefree, a malicious crook who often bullied good villagers below the deck. When Shi Qingxuan saw him, he spilled the delicate wine in his cup with a little spell that knocked the crook right out. It was during one of these carefree, drunken days that Shi Qingxuan ascended as the Wind Master.")

Relationships - part 1

("Shi Wudu: The first time Shi Qingxuan mentions his brother, he defensively says he is not afraid of Shi Wudu, which turns out to be a lie. Despite Shi Qingxuan's bravado-filled speech that he's not afraid of his brother, just one reprimand could make Shi Qingxuan back down. Whenever he achieved something good, Shi Qingxuan would seek his brother's approval and praise. The two have been close ever since they were children, and Shi Qingxuan shortly ascended after Shi Wudu did as well. Shi Wudu has always been protective of him and Heavenly Officials knew not to mess with Shi Qingxuan because they would have to face him. They were also often worshiped together in the Water-Wind Temples as a pair of brother and sister or husband and wife. While at first Shi Wudu and Shi Qingxuan's relationship seems bound up in brotherly devotion and love, it is also one corrupted by overprotectiveness and fear – he holds Qingxuan against his will and tries to change his fate. Shi Wudu isn't fond of his brother's female form. He's shown multiple times attempting to get Qingxuan to stop using his female form, going as far as teasing that someone like Pei Ming might have ill thoughts and force themselves onto Qingxuan; although the remark seems to be more of an attempt to tease his friend rather than to get to his brother. Ultimately, he never directly kept Shi Qingxuan from using his female form despite his complaints. It's unclear exactly what causes this tension about his gender. Shi Wudu describes it as shameful, but he's clearly close friends with Ling Wen who also changes forms (but it might be that becoming a man seems positive whereas becoming a woman seems negative).

It might also be connected to the fact that in their mortal lives, Shi Qingxuan had to live disguised as a girl. While Shi Qingxuan sees no problem with this, it's possible Shi Wudu has strong feelings about this time in their life. Shi Qingxuan disliked his brother being a part of the Three Tumors, thinking it reflected badly on him and wanted him to stop associating with them. In truth, Shi Qingxuan and his brother were never matched in terms of morality and ethics. While Shi Qingxuan is repeatedly shown to be generous and concerned with injustice, Shi Wudu is characterized as someone concerned with gaining power, and willing to go to extreme lengths for his brother's sake. While concerned about appearances, given his friend group, Shi Wudu is more concerned with protecting those he's close to, whereas Shi Qingxuan finds the choice between loyalty to friends and family vs. his duty as a Heavenly official and doing what's morally correct highly stressful. + Ming Yi: Shi Qingxuan’s relationship with Ming Yi is one of the most complex. While Shi Qingxuan boldly and repeatedly refers to him as his best friend, Ming Yi unfailingly responds by saying he isn’t. Despite this, it’s easy to see why Shi Qingxuan has this perception of the Earth Master. + Pei Ming: Shi Qingxuan couldn't stand Pei Ming and hoped Shi Wudu would break his bond with him as soon as possible.")
